Microsoft's strategic shift into a "Devices and Services" company saw the release of its own hardware range, under the "Surface" moniker, which was previously donned by the touchscreen tables, now called Pixel Sense. The Surface devices were tablets meant to show case Windows at its finest form. The Surface RT and the Surface Pro have seen two iterations already, with the former running on powerful ARM processors, while the latter, running on Ultrabook-grade specifications, meant to give high performance in a portable touchscreen form factor. Suffice to say, both of them have been met only with lukewarm response. With mini tablets gaining a large foothold, even Apple acknowledged the need with its iPad mini, and several OEM partners of Microsoft started releasing their own 8 inch Windows 8.1 tablets, once the OS was ready to support smaller screens. And now, it seems like Microsoft is ready to show the world what it can do with a smaller screen, on May 20th, as the company plans to reveal a new Surface device, at an event in New York city. Microsoft is expected to release a 8 inch Surface device, much like the ones that are going around in the market since last ...

ASUS is planning to expand its Padfone line of devices with a phablet that might have keyboard dock.  A photo leaked at FCC shows a phablet that has a keyboard dock which is compatible with the upcoming ASUS PadFone X for AT&T. We had seen the keyboard dock on old original PadFone devices but the latest leaked image suggests that the keyboard might be connected to the phablet via bluetooth. The phablet which is touted as PadFone 6 looks a lot bigger than previous ASUS devices. However, the keyboard dock has the same type of design as most of ASUS other keyboard docks and seems like it will not have a inbuilt battery. This means the dock will be charged via charging port only. It must be noted that these are leaked images and no update from ASUS has been provided on this. Via

Flappy Bird created a lot of buzz in the handheld gaming industry and Angry Birds creator Rovio has decided to use the hype to create a similar game. Rovio has just launched 'RETRY' game that looks like Flappy Bird. With 'RETRY', Rovio is taking us back to the 8bit age and graphics are quite antique. The gameplay trailer suggests that the game is a glorified version of 'Flappy Birds'. Although there is a Flappy Bird heart, the game has a lot of other things going like collection coins and moving through various different obstacles. httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ta0SJa6Sglo The game has been released under Rovio Lvl 11 name, which is the studio name that will be used for gaming titles not related to Angry Birds. The game is already available in the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad. Just like its previous titles, Rovio is doing a soft launch by making the game available only across select countries and the first launch countries are Canada, Poland and Finland. The game is soon expected to be available in other countries and is also expected to come to Android devices. Source

According to @evleaks the back would not attract any fingerprints. It is not clear if the back would have self repairing technology like the G Flex. This seems to be some new material to prevent smudges and fingerprints. Another image shows that the phone has a removable back cover and a removable battery. It also shows the micro SIM slot, but it doesn't show the microSD slot. According to earlier rumors the LG G3 would come with a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8974 processor (Snapdragon 800 or 801 SoC), Android 4.4 with flat Optimus UI, 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS+, 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, 2GB / 3GB DDR3 RAM, 16GB / 32GB of internal memory, expandable memory up to 64GB with microSD, 4G LTE and 3000mAh battery. Microsoft is all set to unveil the Surface mini, a 8 inch Windows tablet at an event in New York City on the 20th of May. It is just 13 more days until the announcement, and we don't even know how it looks, but are finally starting to see some bits and pieces of information floating around the internet. Bloomberg's Dina Bass reports that the Surface Mini will come with a Qualcomm processor, unlike its bigger brothers Surface RT and Surface 2, which run on rival Nvidia's chips. Nokia was the only other OEM to come out with a ARM based Windows tablet in 2013, which coincidentally ran on the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Neowin has a lot more information on the Surface mini, which includes a 8 inch screen, stylus-laden note taking abilities with deep one note integration, Windows RT(which is now obvious) and the availability of specialized covers acting as the kickstand. But we still do not know how it is going to look or generally placed in a market that is already starting to grow in the negative. Apple's iPad mini and Google's Nexus 7 (2013) have been the fan favourites and that has translated well into sales, but ...
