Huawei has launched the Honor 3C, the company's latest smartphone in the Honor series. It was unveiled back in December last year and packs a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) LTPS screen, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s own Emotion UI 2.0 on top.
It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a screen to body ratio of 69% and the 4.5 mm upper bezel, 2.2 mm bezel on the side makes it a phone compact. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby, 2GB RAM and packs a 2300 mAh battery with power saving technology that uses 30% more battery life.

LG Mobile has just released a teaser image and a video for the LG G3 launch on May 27th. The teaser image shows the phone in Gold and the launch date, May 27th. According to earlier rumors the LG G3 would come with a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC, Android 4.4 with flat Optimus UI, 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS+, 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, 2GB with 16GB storage / 3GB RAM with 32GB of internal memory, expandable memory up to 64GB with microSD, 4G LTE and 3000 mAh battery.
The LG G3 event is scheduled for May 27th 2014 in London, New York and San Francisco. Other G3 events in Seoul, Singapore and Istanbul are scheduled for May 28th. Hope LG would reveal more details about the phone closer to the launch.
BlackBerry announced the BlackBerry Z3, the company’s affordable full-touch smartphone made by Foxconn at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It went on pre-order in Indonesia last month. The company has launched the BlackBerry Z3 Jakarta Edition in Indonesia at an event today, as it announced last month.
As promised, BlackBerry will sell a limited edition model featuring the inscription Jakarta on the back of the device for a limited period, to commemorate the launch of the first BlackBerry smartphone built specifically for the Indonesian market. It would also come with BBM Stickers featuring local characters, Punakawan for free exclusively for a limited time.
BlackBerry has unboxed the Z3 officially before it goes on sale in the market.

Microsoft launched Office apps - Word, Excel and Powerpoint for iPad in March. The software and tech giant has announced that the apps have done extremely well and surpassed 27 million downloads in mere 46 days since its launch.
Microsoft's General Manager of Office Division, Julia White made the announcement during the TechEd conference.This milestone follows an earlier report that the Office for iPad apps were downloaded 12 million times in the week following their launch. The Office apps let you edit office documents on the iPad and maintain formatting across Office for PC, Mac, tablet and phone
Microsoft Word is the most popular free Office app on the iPad and is now ahead of Google Docs. It is also the fourth most downloaded free app for the iPad, while Excel and Powerpoint are ranked at 22 and 26, respectively.

Panasonic has announced that it would launch Panasonic P81, the company's upcoming phone in the P Series later this month. It has released new teaser images and a video that reveals that the smartphone would come with colorful removable back covers and new software features such as smart app switch and Multi Window.

These new teasers doesn't reveal how the phone would look or its specifications. Panasonic entered back into the Indian smartphone market with the P51 back in May last year. It expanded its smartphone portfolio with other P Series and T series smartphones. It recently launched the P31, a mid-range smartphone with a 5-inch FWVGA display, 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).
The Panasonic P81 could have a HD display, faster processor and a better camera. Looks like we have to wait for few more days or weeks for more details. We will definitely let you know when Panasonic launches the P81 smartphone.
Ahead of releasing the Sense 6.0 update for the HTC One series of smartphones that were launched last year, HTC has given us details about what to expect in the latest update on their official website. According to the information furnished by HTC, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update along with Sense 6.0 is in the final stages for most carriers is expected soon. The following screenshot shows the overview of the features and the status of the update.
As you can see, HTC have updated some of their core apps like BlinkFeed, Camera and Gallery. The latest update brings a lot of color to the UI as you can choose themes based on colors. Asus unveiled the Fonepad 7 (FE170CG), a new variant of the Fonepad 7 few weeks back. Now the complete specifications of the tablet has surfaced on the official website that reveals that it would also come in dual SIM variant. This was first spotted by notebookitalia.it. The tablet went on sale in Thailand few days back. Unlike the Asus Fonepad 7 Dual SIM (ME175CG), the new Fonepad 7 has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It also features the new Zen UI, similar to its latest Zen series smartphones.

Samsung is very well known for using an established design across the range of its devices. Last year in September at IFA, Samsung introduced the third iteration of their very successful Galaxy Note series in the form of Galaxy Note 3. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 marked an important step for Samsung in terms of product design as it dumped the glossy plastic back and used a faux leather finish with stitched leather design.
Knowing Samsung very well, we speculated a lot of devices with a similar design language and as always Samsung started using the same design language across its products. A mid-range smartphone Galaxy Grand 2 came with the faux leather back and then a black variant of the Galaxy S4 was released with faux leather back. A slightly bumped down Galaxy Note 3 was released as Galaxy Note 3 Neo with a similar faux leather back. During CES 2014, Samsung also demoed a series of tablets with the same faux leather back. At an event in New Delhi, Motorola launched it's budget segment device i.e. the Moto E. The phone strikes an interesting balance between price and performance without sacrificing build quality either. We got to spend sometime with what could be the best device in the sub Rs. 10,000 segment and found it be surprisingly appealing. The phone packs a 1.2Ghz dual core Snapdragon 200 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The screen is a high quality 4.3" panel with a resolution of 960 x 540. We found viewing angles and contrast levels to be perfectly acceptable though sunlight readability could've been better. Motorola, now owned by Lenovo, has manged to deliver above average build quality and ticks all the check marks for specifications you'd want at a price point of just Rs. 6,999. LG unveiled its wearable fitness devices, the Lifeband Touch and Heart Rate Earphones earlier this year at the CES in Las Vegas. Today LG has announced that it would start selling these starting this month in the U.S. The Lifeband Touch is a smart fitness band that also shows notifications for incoming calls and messages from your Android or iOS devices on full-touch OLED display when connected. It also lets you control music.
It has triple-axis accelerometer and an altimeter sensors that tracks your fitness data in real-time. It works with MyFitnessPal, Runkeeper and MapMyFitness apps. It also has motion-sensing algorithm that automatically turns on the display when user rotates the wrist. It also comes in three variants.

The front of the phone has a 4.3” display with a resolution of 960x540. The display is covered with an anti smudge coating and a Gorilla Glass panel. We found the display to be perfectly usable in indoor conditions but brightness levels weren’t as good as we would’ve liked. Using the phone in bright sunlight might hence prove to be a problem.

Google has launched brand new Snap Cases for the Nexus 5 users. Priced at $29.99, the Snap Cases are sleek and will protect your beloved Nexus 5 from dust, scratch and might even protect it after several drops.

Now, anyone living in the US can buy Google's flagship wearable product, the Google Glass. Google opened sales of Glass to the US public for one day in April, making it briefly available to people. The company also launched a try and buy program for potential Glass buyers. However, this time the Explorer Program is not limited for a specific period or to specific people such as developers.
We're still in the Explorer Program while we continue to improve our hardware and software, but starting today anyone in the US can buy the Glass Explorer Edition, as long as we have it on hand.

Nexus 6 and Nexus 8 is inching closer to reality as per a source code update. Google is working on its next flagship smartphone and tablet as per several leaks and references.
Today, Chromium Code Review boasts of references of the Nexus 6 and Nexus 8 which was spotted by Florian Kiersch and Carsten Knobloch. The Nexus 6 reference can still be seen on the Code Review page, under the new code section. These references do not include any actual details about the device but it clearly indicates that Google is working on both these devices.
The Chromium source code often generates results about processor or screen size and hence, we might expect more such details about the devices soon. Nexus 8 is an 8-inch Android tablet, which is being manufactured by HTC while the Nexus 6 is touted to be based on LG G3.
Meanwhile rumors have surfaced that Google is replacing the Nexus line with Android Silver smartphones and that is working on budget Nexus device. Google's I/O conference is just a month away where announcement about these two devices can be expected.

Today Sony has announced the Xperia A2 (SO-04F), a slightly enhanced variant of the Xperia Z1f and the successor of the Xperia A (SO-04E) in their 2014 Summer lineup. It has the same 4.3-inch (1280 x 720pixels) Triluminos Display with with X-Reality engine, powered by 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor that we had seen on the Z1 Compact, but this runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box.

Motorola launched Moto E, its budget handset in India for Rs 6,999. The phone which already is power packed by features is getting more powerful with a special app introduced by the company. Today, Motorola has introduced an app that alerts your contacts when in need.
Dubbed as the Moto Alert, the app enables users to send alerts to their friends and loved ones in case of emergency situation. The app is available for download at the Google Play Store and is currently compatible only with Moto E. However, the company said it will be soon available to Moto X and Moto G.
Using geo-fenced location status of contacts, the app lets you send periodic notifications of your location to friends and family. Motorola Alert allows users to set locations for Home, Work and School. The app then can alert others when you leave or arrive at these locations. It must be noted that the recipients of the notifications do not need to have the Motorola Alert app installed.

BlackBerry has announced that it would enable mobile device management (MDM) companies to directly manage devices with the BlackBerry 10 operating system. AirWatch, Citrix and IBM would be the first companies to work with BlackBerry to manage BlackBerry 10 devices. This move is to offer most open and flexible mobile environments for the BlackBerry customers.
BlackBerry launched BES10 and BBM for iOS and Android and also plans to launch both these on Windows Phone platform later this year. BlackBerry plans to introduce BES12 later this year that would also support wide range of OS such as iOS, Android, Windows, BlackBerry 10 and BlackBerry OS. It would introduce multi-tenant cloud version of BES12.

Motorola unveiled the Moto E, a budget smartphone and Moto G LTE yesterday. It also announced the rumored Moto G Ferrari Edition for Mexico. It comes in a new black with red color with Kevlar back cover, Ferrari logo on the back, Ferrari branding on the front, exclusive content such as themes and wallpaper and special accessories.
Other specifications of the smartphone are similar to the original Moto G, including a 4.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) edge-to-edge display at 329 ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera and 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box, 2070 mAh battery and comes only in 16GB variant.
The Motorola Moto G Ferrari Edition is priced at 4999 Mexican Pesos (Rs. 23,000 approx.). It is expected to go on sale in Mexico in coming weeks. It is not clear if Motorola plans to launch the smartphone outside Mexico.
