So Nokia just let loose its worst kept secret of a phone, called the Nokia Lumia 1020. As you know by now, we covered the event live from New York and we brought you our hands on, with some pics of the device. We are now bringing you the complete walk through of the device in photos and some more, so dive in! From the front it looks indistinguishable from the Lumia 920, especially in this yellow. It is indistinguishable even from the sides, as you can see from this pic - The device is actually thinner than the Lumia 920 when you don't consider the camera hump. Coming at 10.4mm, it is 0.3mm thinner than the 920 at 10.7mm. It also weighs less at 158g when compared to the hefty 185g weight of the Lumia 920, and we think that's the effect of the removal of the wireless charging circuits on the Lumia 1020. Zooming in closer, on the front of the device,  it is adorned by the same 4.5 inch Super AMOLED HD screen that you find on the Lumia 928 and the Lumia 925. And yes, it is of the pentile variety. Coming to the back, the huge black chunk is ...

So, the official Windows Blog has published a Q&A between Nokia's Kevin Shields and Microsoft's Joe Belfiore to explain an interesting doubt we've been having. What did Microsoft have to do, to accommodate the monstrosity of a sensor's data into the Windows Phone's pipes, especially when considering the fact that the MSM8960 chip actually cannot handle more than 20MPs of sensor data. So, how did Nokia do it, and what did Microsoft do to help Nokia bring this technology to Windows Phone? Lets find out what Joe Belfiore and Kevin Shields have to say, minus the extra crap from their Q&A. Read on. First up, Kevin Shields chimes in - ..but there was a lot of unseen work on the Windows Phone side that went into it: plumbing and UI [user interface] changes to bring out the best of that component and make the camera experience possible. Now, here are the most important parts where Joe Belfiore explains what Microsoft's contribution to the Lumia 1020 is - We know the OS deeply and add that kind of thinking to the mix. Nokia Lumia 920 vs Lumia 928 vs Lumia 925, is the 925 worth an upgrade?

0

Nokia has launched three flagship models on the three main US carriers, with two models being a global version. The 920 launched first, with the 928 and the 925 following it up with some improvements here and there. The 925 being the latest one with some improvements, the only question that props up is, is it good enough to be an upgrade from the other two? Lets find out. Watch the video for a quick look and jump past the break for some detailed camera comparisons and stills. httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2q1STf9nmlQ Design wise, there has been a change in all the three phones. The Lumia 928 stays almost true to the original design philosophy by sporting a full polycarbonate body and overall pretty similar to the 920, but the 925 is quite a departure from both the devices. With a mix of aluminium on the sides and polycarbonate for the back, the new design is pretty striking in person rather than in photos. The materials too are a welcome change, with the premium feel taken up a notch, with a very nicely textured matte polycarbonate back. Overall a refreshing change for a Lumia design, but it is conservative too, by losing the colours the ...

We've reported on Blackberry's upcoming large screen device. The phone has now shown up on video and appears to be absolutely massive. The device is pegged to have a 5 inch display but the fairly large bezel makes it appear even bigger.  httpv://youtu.be/gWoDJEUGwbg The handset appears to have a design language that is a cross between that of the Blackberry Q10 and the Z10. The phone is also believed to have the weaved glass back from the Q10. While the screen might be 5 inches in size, resolution is said to be 720p which would place it behind other leading handsets. The Blackberry A10 Aristo is expected to go on sale in November and Sprint in the US will be one of the first carriers to stock the handset. Blackberry's BB10 based handsets haven't really set the market on fire, will the A10 change market perception ? Are you excited to see this handset ? Let us know in the comments below! Samsung launched the Galaxy Mega 5.8 sometime back and we've been putting the phone through its paces. The phone is powered by a 1.4 Ghz Broadcom processor paired with a VideoCore IV GPU. Synthetic benchmarks can tell quite a bit about the performance of a device and we've embedded some of the more popular ones below. AnTuTu Benchmark The phone scores just 9406 in the AnTuTu benchmark which places it quite low even amongst the mid range handsets. In the GPU centric Basemark benchmark, the phone scored 8.476 FPS which is pretty good given the competition. The VideoCore IV GPU performs well enough. With a score of 12FPS in GFXBench, the Mega 5.8 lines up right alongside devices like the Gionee Dream D1. The Galaxy Mega 5.8 achieved 9.4 in the GFX Benchmark. Linpack is a CPU centric benchmark where the Galaxy Mega 5.8 managed to score 82.802. This places it in the lower half of the competiton. In the popular Quadrant benchmark, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 scores 4058 points. We'll have the full review soon.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 Review

The Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 is a part of Samsung's two pronged approach to capture the audience looking for a device even bigger than the 5.5inch Note 2 but smaller than a tablet. Targeting the 5.8 inch and 6.3 inch segments, Samsung now has handsets at practically every screen size. The Galaxy Mega 5.8 incorporates a large screen with dual SIM capabilities to offer an interesting proposition. Is it worth taking a look at ? Read on to find out. Design The Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 is a play on the design of the Galaxy S4 which in itself isn't exactly a very fresh design. Samsung has a habit of marginally tweaking the design and that's what you get here with the slimmer bezel and slightly more angular design. The phone is just about 9.9 mm thick. The front of the phone is basically a massive screen that at 5.8 inches really is approaching tablet territories. Bezels are refreshingly thin and you get a speaker grille, 1.9MP front facing camera and proximity sensor above it. Below the display is a hardware home key that is flanked with a menu and back button on both sides. The right side of the phone has the power ...
