Worry not, the leak machine from China is in full swing and images of what seems to be a big Nokia device plastered as the "Lumia 625H" has been leaked with pictures of its front, back and its sides. The Lumia 625 reportedly sports a 4.7 inch screen with other specifications resembling of or improving on the Lumia 620, presumably.
The tipster claims that the device has a "4.7-inch WVGA, big gray screen without CBD length and width Lumia 920 approaching, 130mm +, 70mm + 2000 mAh battery" pretty much sums up the expectations put forward by consumers for a big sized screen at the mid end. This will probably replace the Lumia 620 which has a smaller screen than the 520, a smaller battery while sporting a superior screen and design. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and 8.0 inch devices were launched separately, with one device announced in April and the other on the 3rd of June, with not that much of a fanfare. In less than two months, it has been teased as "coming to India" on Samsung's Facebook page and is also being displayed as "coming soon" in the Samsung India eStore for the both the models. The Galaxy Tab 3 devices are an evolution of the Galaxy Tab 2 tablet and are all equipped with voice calling capabilities, much like the original Galaxy Tab. Boasting 7 and 8 inch screens respectively, they are much of the earlier Samsung device like the Tab 2 310 and the Note 8.0. It is also likely that Samsung will be launching both the devices tomorrow, as we have just received an invite for a press conference tomorrow.

The LG Optimus L7 got the Android 4.1 update in India back in May, now LG has started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Optimus L5 (E612) users in India. The Optimus L5 was announced back in February 2012 and released in India last June. The software version is JZO54K similar to the other countries and the software version is V20c. All the L Series II devices that were launched recently run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box.
LG announced the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update schedule for high-end devices in Korea last year. The Optimus 4X HD got the update in Europe last month and the Optimus L9 got the Android 4.1 update in India recently. The Jelly Bean update for the Optimus L5 would bring better browser, better notifications, Google Now and several UI enhancements.
The Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the Optimus L5 is available through the LG PC Suite and is about 370 MB.

Ever since the HP slate that launched at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, HP had started its Android on-slaught with more devices. Sometime back, HP launched the Slatebook X2, a convertible Android tablet with a keyboard dock that made it work like a laptop too, if needed. This is the standard on most Windows 8 tablets and the trend was started way back, by the ASUS transformer, which has been caught up by other companies such as HP.
The SlateBook X2 has a 10.1-inch (1920 by 1200 pixels) IPS display, powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). The Lava Iris 504q is easily one of the better looking mid range handsets in the past few months. The front of the handset as expected it dominated by the large 5 inch screen.
Below the screen lie three capacitive buttons while on top is the front facing camera. A chrome earpiece grille hiding a notification LED under it can also be seen above the screen. Running around the edge of the phone is a chrome bezel that prevents the screen from lying flat.

HP has launched the Slate 21, the company’s first All-in-One (AiO) PC running runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) along with the Slatebook x2 in India. It was announced last month and has a 21.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD capacitive reclining IPS touchscreen display with wide viewing angles and is powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor. You can tilt the screen between 15 and 70 degrees with your hand and can also mount the AiO using a standard VESA mount.
It has DTS Sound for immersive audio experience. It comes pre-installed with an HP TrueVision HD Webcam and Wireless Direct which enables users to share videos, photos and data between devices without the need for a network connection. It has additional languages for the physical keyboard and USB drivers to recognize a keyboard when it’s connected. LG has officially announced that the next smartphone in the 'G' Series would be simply called the LG G2 without the Optimus branding. It said that in order to strengthen the brand of premium product phase than the ' G ' series, it decided to drop the 'Optimus' branding. It added that the future smartphones in the same series will carry only the G name while the branding of mobile devices that have already been introduced will continue unchanged.
Coming to the specifications of the LG G2, the phone quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor instead of Snapdragon 600 in the LTE version of the Optimus G Pro. It would also come with LTE Advanced capabilities that would offer speeds up to 150Mbps. With these features it would directly compete with the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A that was unveiled last month in Korea.
LG also said that their premium 4:3 display smartphones will be rebranded as simply 'Vu:' going forward dropping the Optimus branding. LG would continue to bring new smartphone generation core technologies and familiar UX with each series highlighting a different facet of the company’s product expertise.
The LG G2 is expected to be unveiled at an event in New York on August 7th.
The latest version of Google's Android - 4.2 Jellybean was announced nearly 8 months ago and we did not get to see the new version even in the Google I/O event held during May. However, we may soon get the next version as Google is holding a press event with Android and Chrome's chief Sundar Pichai on 24th July. Google has sent out invitations for the media inviting them to an event in San Francisco.
According to the invite, no solid details were given regarding anything. The invite just said "Please join us for breakfast with Sundar Pichai". Sundar Pichai recently became the chief for Android after Andy Rubin departed. Even at the Google I/O event earlier this year, it was Pichai who took to the stage and gave statistics regarding the number of Android devices activated and the number of apps downloaded.
At the event, Google is expected to announce the next version of Android (most likely Android 4.3 Jellybean) and the next Nexus 7 tablet. The event is expected to be big as the event location is the same place where Google unveiled its Chromebook Pixel. Also the event will be live-streamed on Google's YouTube channel.

The original Nexus 7 was launched more than a year ago and over the past six months we have been hearing about the next-gen Nexus 7 rumors. The upcoming Nexus 7 successor finally makes its appearance in front of the camera. Ahead of Google event on July 24th, leaked pricing of upcoming Nexus 7 and live pictures - all these suggest that it would go real pretty soon. All though, nothing is official yet except for the Google event.
As expected, the next gen Nexus 7 is being manufactured by Asus and according to the leaked pricing, 2 versions - 16GB and 32GB are expected. The 32GB model would be priced at $269.99 according to Engadget's tipster. Again, each of these models will have a WiFi only and WiFi+Cellular variants. The notable difference between the Nexus 7 and next-gen Nexus 7 is the presence of rear camera. There is a 1.2MP camera at the front and an additional 5MP camera at the back. It was announced back in April as the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and packs a 7-inch (1024×600) TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 3-megapixel fixed focus rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It also comes with 3G support via SIM card slot and voice calling capabilities similar to the Galaxy Tab 2.

The long rumoured and heavily leaked HTC One Mini has finally gone official. Filling the space left by the HTC One S, the One mini will be sporting a smaller display and more modest specs, when compared to its bigger brother and flagship, the HTC One. While the design and the looks are almost exactly the same as the One, the internals are different with predictable cost cutting done in the favour of a lower price. So, in any case, this isn't a smaller flagship like most people expect it to be. While the camera is the same 4MP UltraPixel camera as the One, it loses the OIS functionality, and if you are keen enough to notice the lack of a vertical band above the camera, which is now occupied by the flash, there is no NFC on this either.
Taking a look at the official picture and several leaked pictures before, it is clear that the One Mini is has more plastic than the One. It doesn't seem to be that highly polished aluminium slab like the One, but it does sport a similar unibody design with polycarbonate wrapping around to the front more than on the One.

Nokia just published it's Quarter 2 2013 results and posted an operating loss of EUR 115 million over revenues of Eur 5.695 billion. The device and services division in particular had losses to the tune of Eur 33 million which is below than expected. The Nokia Siemens (NSN) division made Eur 8 million over the last quarter which helped offset losses from other arms of the Finnish company. We also recently saw that the Nokia Lumia 520 has risen to the position of being the most popular Windows Phone in the world, and had hoped that it reflect positively on the results. Looks like it has indeed happened with them announcing a grand total of 7.4 million units of Lumia smartphones sold this quarter, which is up from 5.6 million last quarter.
This is a 32% QoQ increase in sales of the smart devices category, says Nokia. This also seems to be the first quarter in which there has been no reported sales of Symbian or Meego devices. Last quarter, out of 6.1 million smart devices, 5.6 million were Lumias, while the rest were Symbian devices, but this time, it's all Lumia, which is quite surprising.

HTC has finally started rolling out Android 4.2.2 update for the HTC One users in India. It started rolling out first in Taiwan earlier this month. Xolo launched the Q1000, the company's latest flagship in the 'Q CORE' series back in May. Celkon had also launched the A119Q Signature HD, successor of the A119 Signature HD back in May. We review both the Q1000 and the A119Q recently since these had similar features such as 5-inch HD display, quad-core processor and Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). Even though Xolo has come up with a Tegra 3-powered Xolo Play T1000, Celkon is yet to released their next flagship device. Both these devices are priced under Rs. 15,000. Both these devices 5-inch IPS displays at a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixel at 294 PPI pixel density. Since the display in the Q1000 is based on one-glass solution (OGS) technology, it offers vibrant colors and reduces the thickness of the device. The Q1000 has a 1.2-megapixel font-facing camera with BSI sensor and the A119Q 3-megapixel font-facing camera. Both these have proximity and ambient light sensors. Samsung's Galaxy Tab range of tablets have been wildly popular in the Indian market and has helped the Korean manufacturer reach a 62% market share in the country in terms of tablet sales. The latest 7 inch offering from the company is more of an update to the winning formula than an all out new product. Here are our first impressions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 211.
Owing to the 7 inch form factor and the type of material used, the Tab 3 211 feels incredibly light and quite comfortable too. You might argue that the design has been kept the same and the materials aren't as high quality as they could be but for a device that is aimed towards media consumption, it works. The front has a 7 inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600. The screen is of the TFT variety and while colors are good, they aren't as vibrant as on an IPS panel.
Over on top you find the earpiece. Yes, the Tab 3 211 can also be used for making phone calls. Next to it is the 1.3MP front facing camera and the proximity sensors.

With the announcement of the next version of Galaxy Note getting closer and closer, rumors continue to spread across the Internet. In the latest turn of events, Samsung has teased an updated Exynos 5 Octa SoC through their Twitter account. This updated Exynos 5 Octa is expected to feature in one of the variants of the Galaxy Note 3. The image posted by Samsung suggests an evolved SoC from the previous generation.
