LG is now pushing out a software update to fix this hardware issue.  OTA update build number KMV78Y is now heading out to users and is supposed to fix the corrosion build up spotted on the exposed charging POGO pins placed at the rear of the watch. While LG did not officially comment on the update, a support representatives comment can be seen below. LG TV, Monitors, AV and IT Support Recently it has come to our attention that a small number of G Watch devices have been reported to have developed discoloration and residue buildup on the terminal pins located on the back. While completely safe and unlikely to affect charging, LG will be rolling out a maintenance release over the next few days that will disable the current when the G Watch is not in the charging dock. Photos of an alleged iPad Air 2 rear shell have leaked online. The images show a rear shell with a redesigned speaker grill and a relocated rear microphone next to the camera. Some photos have been published to the Chinese social networking site Weibo, which are believed to be the rear shell casing for the next-generation iPad Air.  As per the images, it looks like Apple has changed the size and position of the speakers. The speaker grille now features one row of large holes instead of two rows of tiny holes, and it looks like the rear mic has been relocated. It also shows recessed volume control buttons and a new microphone next to the camera lens. The Apple iPad Air 2 is expected to include the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, embedded in the home button. In addition, the new iPad Air could also feature a faster A8 processor, which is expected to improve the tablet’s performance and battery life. Despite a handful of changes, the overall design does bear a striking resemblance to the current design of the iPad. The latest photo leak comes months after the Front panels of the iPad Air 2 were leaked in April this year. via: Apple Insider

Like every year, Samsung will announce the next generation of the Galaxy Note 4 later this year. Following tradition, it was expected that the Korean giant would launch it at IFA and right on cue, Samsung has started sending out invitations for its Galaxy Note 4 launch event ahead of IFA in Berlin. There's been a lot of speculation around the capabilities of the next generation Note phablet and once again, it is expected to ship in both Qualcomm and Exynos variants depending on the market. The screen might see another bump up in size but most rumors still maintain a 5.7" Super AMOLED screen is what you'll get. What has changed however is the resolution and you should expect to see a 2K panel here which should result in a nice bump in the pixel density. A retina sensor might also make the cut though its effectiveness in low lighting conditions would be questionable. Being a part of the Note series, the phablet will continue to have an active digitizer with a stylus thrown in for good measure. Rumors abound that the company is planning to use new types of materials in the handset and that it will also include a ...

Mobile gamers all around have a lot to look forward to later this year. 2K Games, the studio behind the hit franchise, BioShock, today announced that the first game in the franchise will be making its way over to the iOS platform. The company says that BioShock on the iPhone and iPad will be a premium game and hence will carry a price tag that will be anywhere from $10 to $30. The studio has managed to port the entire game without cutting corners on the essentials. Lighting, shadows have taken a hit and the textures are not as high resolution as on PC or consoles. As Engadget reports, fire effects in particular are poor to look at. Given the medium, the game loses the grandeur of the original and it really is best placed with a controller in hand. That said, you can still play the game using a controller on the iPad. While there is no word on pricing, we do know that the game will not run on older iOS devices. You'll need an iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPad 4 or the iPhone 5/5c or 5s to be able to play it. The game will also not include ...

Samsung isn't having the best week. First, local Indian manufacturer Micromax toppled the Korean giant to claim the number one spot in India. Next, China's Xiaomi (that's been making waves in India as well) replaced Samsung as the numero uno maker in China. The report by Canalys indicates that 4 year old Xiaomi owned 14 percent of the market share, while Samsung's share plummeted to 12 percent. This is the first time that Xiaomi has overtaken the consumer electronics giant from China. Xiaomi had yet been producing flagship level phones are attractive prices before launching their uber-popular Hongmi series of smartphones, which later came to be known as the Redmi series for international markets. Devices from the Redmi series of smartphones are sold at extremely competitive prices, often making them cheaper than even local brands. The Redmi series is expected to launch in India this month, with the Redmi 1S and the Redmi Note. While the Redmi 1S is a Snapdragon 400 powered Motorola Moto G competitor, the Redmi Note is more of a mix-and-match sort of a device with an octa-core processor, 5.5-inch display and a super lightweight price tag.

We already know a bunch of specs and details about the upcoming iPhone 6 launch. One of the information which is highly expected is that Apple will launch iPhone 6 in two models -5.5 inch and 4.7 inch model. Now, a fresh report from Cowen & Co. analyst Timothy Arcuri is suggesting that the Apple will add more powerful and faster processor to 5.5 inch iPhone 6 model than the 4.7 inch one. Arcuri also said that the processor in the 5.5-inch model could ship with a larger die, hinting at a more wide-ranging architectural split. A larger die might be a sign that the 5.5-inch model will feature additional on-die silicon, such as a larger array of graphics processing cores. Alternatively, it might suggest that Apple will make the two chips — believed to be the "A8" — in different fabrication plants using different processes. Apple has given different processors to devices in the same category in the past. For example, the iPad Air features a faster 1.39GHz A7 processor, while the iPad Mini with Retina display comes with a slightly less powerful version of the A7, which clocks in at 1.29GHz. Finally, Arucri also believes that both iPhone 6 models “could sport different touch modules” Apple is ...
