After the Mi 3 started selling out in a matter of seconds, Xiaomi decided to ramp up its production for the Redmi 1S, which was expected to generate even more interest in India thanks to its relatively low price. Xiaomi had initially announced the Redmi 1S for 6,999 INR, but took it down to 5,999 INR before the first sale that took place on the 2nd of September. 40,000 units of the Redmi 1S were sold in a matter of just 4.2 seconds, which was certainly something neither Xiaomi nor the Indian consumers hoped for. After all, a lot of the unsatisfied consumers have been complaining about Xiaomi creating 'fake demand' to give their brand a boost. The situation wasn't to improve today, when the Redmi 1S sold out yet again in under 5 seconds. Xiaomi was quick to announce this on their social feeds; we don't know whether they've been taking pride in this or not. The next Redmi 1S sale is slated to take place a week from now, i.e., on the 16th of September. If you missed adding the Redmi 1S to your cart this time, head over to Flipkart and register for the next sale. You can also check ...

Along with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple unveiled its mobile payment service 'Apple Pay'.  Apple is claiming the service to be fast, secure and private. As rumored earlier, the Apple has tied up with three main payment networks American Express, Master Card and Visa. Apple Pay works with iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus through a groundbreaking NFC antenna design, a dedicated chip called the Secure Element, and the security and convenience of Touch ID.  In order to get started users will need to simply add a card from your iTunes account. Apple Pay generates a dynamic security code, replacing the static security code from the back of your card. Consumers enter their cards by taking photos of their credit cards, which are then added to Apple’s Passport service. Apple Pay will also work with the recently launched iWatch. A unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your iPhone or Apple Watch. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique number using your Device Account Number and instead of using the security code from the back of your card. Apple Pay creates a dynamic security code to securely validate each transaction. Leading retailers in the US ...

Apple iPhone 6 is probably one of the worst kept secrets in the tech industry with the device appearing on numerous occasions. The display panel comes with a resolution of 1134 x 750 pixels. Back of the iPhone 6 consists of a full metal finish panel with the stripes running from top and bottom for antennas. The sides of the smartphone are a bit curvy, which is quite different from previous four generations and the buttons are now a part of the body. The new size also meant that the company had to work around the position of some of the hardware keys on the phone. The power button on the iPhone 6 has been relocated and is now placed on ...

Apple is trying its best to match the service of its competition like Google and Dropbox in the cloud service. Meanwhile, if you are new to iCloud, then you might want to know that the service allows you to access your music, photos, documents, and more from whatever device you are on.

Here are the 20 LTE bands supported by the iPhone 6 models (A1586 iPhone 6 and A1524 iPhone 6 Plus) majorly sold outside the US in Europe including UK  and Asia including Japan and Hong Kong. Apple iPhone 5c price drops to $450 for 8GB unlocked version

0
0
The tradition continues, with Apple announcing price cuts for the older iPhones that precede the brand new ones that launched today. The 5c, when it launched, had an unlocked price of 549$, while the 4S at the same time had its price cut to 450$. Now it's the iPhone 5c's turn, with it getting the same price cut to 450$ for the unlocked 8 GB version. Long rumoured to be a cheaper version of the iPhone, the 5c launched to poor reception last year. Apple was constantly pushing 5c through incessant marketing in several markets, especially in the past few months. This price cut will hence be the last stretch of shelf time for the iPhone 5c. Last year, it was evident from our poll on 5c's unlocked prices that consumers were certainly misled with expectations of a cheaper iPhone. Apple tried to steer the conversation towards the 5c's design, the use of high quality plastics and so on, but it was clear that consumers didn't like a re-hashed iPhone 5 in a plastic shell. The 5s ended up selling more than Apple could have expected, signaling the dislike for the other iPhone, but the company still went with many marketing ...

Apple iPhone 5s price drops to $549 for 16GB SIM-free version $599 for 32GB

0
0
The Apple iPhone 5s, the previous flagship device, gives way to the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus today, so naturally, it has received a price cut. During the keynote, Apple was careful enough to place the iPhone 5s on its slides, a nod to the fact that it will continue being one of the two 4" iPhones you can still get. The device gets a 100$ price cut to 549$ for the 16 GB version while it's 150$ lesser for the 32 GB variant, at 599$. The pricing has already been updated in the Apple store.   Unlike the iPhone 5c, the 5s did well for Apple, hence making the company maintain the pricing for long. As long as there's demand, the pricing would hover at the initial rates and that has been the case for the 5s. We doubt that, after the launch of the new iPhones, people would actually get a 5s but the previous flagship is still a very capable device if you are ok with a smaller screen. There are not many differences in key components between the 5s and the 6, mainly because TouchID is already there. May be people will miss the NFC functionality ...
