LG has launched Tone Infinim (HBS-900), premium Bluetooth stereo headset developed in collaboration with Harman/Kardon in India. It was unveiled back in March, has a stylish design that is almost similar to previous Tone series headsets from LG, but this has a glossy metallic finish. It has retractable wire management technology for tangle-free operation, jog button to fast forward and rewind, sound and vibration alert to inform of incoming messages, current time and battery status.
The headset's Innovative UX offers various convenient functions such as current time alert, SMS/SNS Replay, Speed Dial, Direct Dial, Favorite Call and Advanced Vibration Alert. The Name Alert, Answer Me+, and Battery Indicator functions come exclusively for G3. It use Bluetooth 3.0 technology and supports most audio profiles such as A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP. With the 220 mAh built-in rechargeable battery, LG promises up to 17 hours of talk time, up to 14 hours of audio playback and up to 550 hours of standby.

LG has released four smartphones under its Aka line of smartphones in Korea today. Announced last month, the smartphones have animated eyes above the interchangeable protective panel that express different emotions.
Targeted at youth, the Aka smartphones chooses its emotion depending on how you use it and its features, such as alarm, apps, the kind of music that you load on it, etc. Running on Android 4.4 , the smartphones come with distinct personalities and backstories. The LG Aka sports a 5-inch IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels and are powered by quad-core 1.2 GHz processor (unknown maker). Other specs include 1.5 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable memory 8 MP rear camera with laser auto focus, 2 MP front-facing camera. The phones come with LTE, NFC, 2610 mAh battery. It weighs 135.5 grams without the front cover, and 157 grams with it on.

Lava has launched Iris Selfie 50, the company’s latest selfie-focused smartphone after the Iris X5 that was launched back in September. It has a 5-inch HD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash to capture better selfies, similar to the Iris X5.
It has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage with expansion slot. This has a slightly bigger 2400mAh battery, compared to the 2100mAh battery on the Iris X5.

Sony's Smartwatch 3 is now available on the US Google Play Store for $249.99. The smartwatch announced in September was available for pre-order in the US Play Store last month.
Sony Smartwatch 3 runs on Android Wear and features a 1.6” 320×320 display and is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz ARMv7 processor . It is IP68 certified water and dust proof and has 4GB of internal memory, 512MB RAM, NFC, GPS, and a 420 mAh battery. The smartwatch also comes built-in with GPS sensor as well as a Wi-Fi radio.
The smartwatch has built-in microphone for sending “Ok Google” commands, and comes with Accelerometer, Compass, Gyro and GPS sensors which can be used for collecting fitness data. Sony SmartWatch 3 comes in Classic Black and Sport Lime colors and extra straps are also available in Pink and White. Spice Stellar 517 and Stellar 470, two new smartphones in the Spice Stellar series are listed on the official website. The Stellar 517 is a minor variation of the Stellar 518 that went on sale few weeks back. It has the same 5-inch FWVGA screen, has an 8-megapixel camera, but this has a 2MP camera compared to the 1.3MP camera and a 3000mAh battery instead of 4000mAh battery on the Stellar 518. The Stellar 470 has a 4.7-inch qHD screen, comes with 8-megapixel rear camera and a 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Google Voice has announced that it now supports MMS on Verizon. The MMS support was announced to Google Voice last month to almost all the carriers in the US and Canada except Verizon.
"We are also adding native MMS support for photo messaging to Google Voice. If you opt in to Google Voice in Hangouts, you can now attach photos to any SMS message and it will be delivered as a native MMS (instead of SMS with a link)."

The move takes Voice one step closer to integration with Hangouts. In addition to the MMS support to Google Voice, Google also says that native support for group messaging via MMS will also be coming at some point in the future.

The Microsoft Band has a 1.3 x 0.43-inch,320 x 106-pixel TFT LCD touch screen display. On the front there is a microphone that lets you speak out voice commands since it has Cortana integration. It has an Ambient light sensor next to the microphone.
The band comes in different sizes - small (39mm), medium (41mm) and large (49mm). You have to choose the size that suits you. The band looks huge, weighing about 60 grams and has two 100mAh rechargeable Lithium ion batteries on the sides of the band. It promises 48 hours of battery life with normal use.
There is a heart rate sensor at the other end of the strap that offers 24-hour heart rate tracking. The band is sweat and splash resistant, but it is not completely water-resistant.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge have received an eco-friendly carbon labeling certification in several countries. The Note 4 has received the certifications in Korea, United States, United Kingdom, and Russia, while Galaxy Note Edge won the green label in Japan. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has become the first smartphone certified by Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute for low carbon emissions, said the company.
The carbon certification for the Galaxy Note 4 includes, UK's Carbon Trust certification of carbon emissions (CO2 Measured Label), America's Underwriters Laboratories certification of environmentally friendly products (SPC, Sustainable Product Certification), the Russian Union eco-friendly certification agency Ecological Union's Vitality Leaf certification. The Galaxy Note Edge has received Eco-leaf environmental labeling, carbon footprint products from Japanese Industrial Environmental Management Association.
The carbon labeling certification for the electronics was established in February 2009. The Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note were the first mobile devices to be awarded with the Carbon Footprint certificate by Carbon Trust. Xiaomi continued to sell its smartphones like hot cakes but this time in China. The company clocked $163 million (¥1 billion) in 12 hours by selling 720,000 phones.
Xiaomi achieved this milestone on China’s marathon 24-hour online sales event , Singles Day which is the largest online sale in the country. Hugo Barra, Vice President, Xiaomi Global in a Google+ post has claimed that the company sold 720,000 Mi phones in 12 hours of the sale. He also revealed that the company earned $16 million in the first five minutes of their sale going live. Xiaomi even beat its record last year within four hours.
Out of the 720,000 smartphones, 250,000 were Mi4 handset, 460,000 were the Redmi and Xiaomi also claims to have sold around 25,000 Mi TVs as well. Yesterday, it was reported that Xiaomi is in talks to raise $1.5 billion in funding and last week another report said that the company is seeking to secure funding that will value it at over $40 billion.
The Chinese smartphone maker became the third largest smartphone maker in the world as its Q3 2014 sales hit 17.3 million units.

Microsoft has rebranded Lync with Skype for Business. The company is promising Skype for Business will remain an Office 365 service when it replaces Lync sometime “in the first half of 2015.
"In the first half of 2015, the next version of Lync will become Skype for Business with a new client experience, new server release and updates to the service in Office 365. We believe that Skype for Business will again transform the way people communicate by giving organizations reach to hundreds of millions of Skype users outside the walls of their business."

Users in Skype for Business will able to call regular Skype users from the application. The interface for Skype for Business is also getting update with new icons and the ability to keep an active call visible in a small window when you are using another application. Users of the Skype and Skype for Business will have two different usernames on the same service.
HTC has added its Camera app in the Google Play Store. The app will bring HTC Eye experience to supported devices. Users can directly download updates and bug fixes directly from the Play Store instead of waiting for firmware updates to hit their devices.
The app includes the ability to switch between front and rear cameras with a swipe and change shooting modes. The HTC Eye experience features such as Crop-Me-In and Split Capture can also be applied to photos using the Camera app. However, Eye Experience feature availability “may vary based on device hardware and software.”Until now, HTC has launched HTC Weather, HTC Lock Screen, Sense keyboard and Sense TV app.

HTC has updated Blink Feed with various new features and enhancements. The app now adds the ability to easily subscribe to an event, category or subcategory.
The app which is a news-feed integrated home screen was first introduced with the HTC One devices. Recommendations for events, topics and categories is provided to users based on their likes and preferences. It has also launched a Twitter campaign, where people can bring the launch date closer by tweeting with the hashtag #Myaocmobile. Motorola is on a mission to update its smartphone with the latest Android version. Earlier this week, the company rolled out Android 5.0 Lollipop soak test to Moto X (2014) and now it is doing the same for Moto G (2nd Gen).
Motorola has started rolling out the soak test form Moto G (2nd Gen) as well.Several users have reported receiving the update already and Motorola has also published the full release notes on its website. As expected the Android update brings all the Lollipop feature to the new Moto G.
The change-log includes the new features and improvements introduced in Lollipop like material design, smart lock, performance enhancements, better security, guest account support, improved notifications as well as updated version of Motorola Assist. Samsung recently announced Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 smartphones from the metal A series. According to a report, both these devices are facing signal strength issue.
A new report from Hi-Tech.Mail.ru is claiming that Galaxy A3 and A5 are facing cellular signal strength issues. Both the devices that are made of entire metal bodies received a weaker signal strength compared to Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S5 has a signal strength reading of -82 dBm, while the A3 and A5 only got -92 dBm and -93 dBm respectively.
The report further states that the reception of these metal Galaxy phones is significantly worse than plastic models. Also, the test was carried by using same SIM card in same location. Both handsets will be first released in Asia in limited batches, which according to a report is apparently due to manufacturing issues that Samsung is experiencing with the metal builds.

Samsung has announced that it is collaborating with SAP to create enterprise mobility apps for mobile devices and wearables. The two companies said they will collaborate to “build on the popularity and reach of Samsung’s mobile innovations and the SAP Mobil Platform,” according to a joint statement from the companies.
