Apple iPhone 6 Plus Review

0
0
In 2007, Apple introduced the iPhone as a one-size-fits-all device. "You can't get your hand around it", "no one's going to buy that." said Steve Jobs, when asked about big screen phones like the 5" Galaxy Note. This was 2010, after a controversial launch of the 3.5" iPhone 4. Two years later, a 4" iPhone 5 happened, and Tim Cook said "It also provides a larger screen without sacrificing one-handed use.". People had already wanted a bigger iPhone by then. Even the generally awesome Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak got frustrated and said "Part of me wishes that Apple had not been so, kind of, arrogant and feeling we’re the only one with the right clue. I wish they had made a small and a large version of the iPhone; that would have been great for me." That was the old Apple. The new Apple heeded to public demand and released the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus a while back. There are now two kinds of iPhones, not one, and in this review, we are going to focus on the "phablet" from Apple, the 5.5" iPhone 6 Plus. Note: The review will focus solely on the 6 Plus, in assumption that ...

Samsung has retired the Fitness with gear app and replaced it with the new S Health app. The new data about all your health activities will now be integrated into the new S Health app. Samsung had launched the S Health app along with the Galaxy S4 that helps users track health and fitness related data. The app runs the latest version 3.5.1 on Galaxy Note 4 while it stil runs the older version 2.5 on other Galaxy devices. This makes the app incompatible to run with Gear Fit and other Gear accessories. Hence, to bring a uniformity Samsung has closed the Fitness with Gear app and is importing all the data to the new S Health app. The updated app brings a newer user interface to older devices and syncs data with Gear Fit as well as other similar devices. A new addition to the app is the Comfort Level that displays Thermo-hygrometer but the heart-rate measurement and the Stress Levels have been left out. The update will hit the app automatically but users can manually check for an update. via

One of these two handsets may have been announced over six months ago and may be considered old (the Xperia Z2) but despite half a year between the announcement of these two devices, they feature very similar specifications so side-by-side, how do the Apple iPhone 6 and the Xperia Z2 compare? The iPhone 6 was only announced back in September whilst Sony uncovered the Xperia Z2 back in February at MWC 2014. Despite coming out after the Sony, the iPhone 6 still has lower resolution with Apple using a "Retina HD" panel offering 750 x 1334 pixels resolution in comparison to the Full HD 1080p LCD on the Xperia Z2. However, it might have lower resolution but the iPhone 6 display is overall markedly better than the Xperia Z2 with the former offering vibrant colours and deep blacks whilst the latter appeared somewhat washed out. The build on both of these handsets is also different and there's a very good reason as whilst Apple have aimed to produce a thin handset with sleek rounded edges, Sony adopted the chamfered edge design. In turn, Sony produced a handset that's 1.3mm thicker than the iPhone 6 but does come with a shatter-proof display and IP58 certification ...

"We're not aiming for size or market share but better profits," claimed Hiroki Totoki, the new chief of Sony's mobile division. As a result, sales are expected to go 30% down for the upcoming three-year period, but as per Sony, this might lead to an increase of its sales by 70% and raise as ...
