Google has updated its Google News & Weather app for Android to version 2.2 that brings several new features. The latest update includes, new weather graphs, searchable news, dark color theme, curated stories from publishers and more. You can check out the complete changelog below.

Asus launched the Zenfone 5 Lite (A502CG), a cheaper variant of the Zenfone 5 in Philippines last month. Now the smartphone is available in India on Flipkart. It has a 5-inch qHD screen with Soda-lime glass screen protection, is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 SoC and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera.
It has 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage with expansion slot, dual SIM support, 3G HSPA+ connectivity and packs a 2500mAh battery. The design is exactly same as the Zenfone 5.

Acer has announced Iconia Talk S A1-724, the company's first LTE tablet that has voice calling capabilities and dual SIM support after several leaks. It has a 7-inch (1280 × 800 pixels) HD IPS display with 5.9mm narrow bezel on each side, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) 64-bit processor with Adreno 306 GPU and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat).

Barnes & Nobles and Microsoft have terminated their partnership that was signed in 2012. Microsoft had invested $300 million into Nook Media which has lost more than half its value in just two years.
The e-book reader is buying back Redmond's 17.6 percent stake for $62 million and about 2.7 million B&N shares—a loss from the original $300 million investment. All ties between the companies in Nook Media, including contractual obligations, commercial agreements and international content acquisition, will be revoked. Microsoft will lose money on its initial investment, but will also be spared any future payments to fund Nook, which were running at about $21 million per quarter.
"Such termination will allow the Company to continue its rationalization of the Nook Digital business and enhances Barnes & Noble’s operational and strategic flexibility,"
said Barnes & Noble in a statement.
Nook revenues including devices, accessories and digital content sales were down a whopping 41.3 percent for the quarter, to $64 million. Barnes & Noble launched the Nook in an effort to compete in a market dominated by Amazon's Kindle. LG announced the G3 Stylus in August that comes with a stylus. The phone went on sale in India for Rs 21,500 in India in October. We already brought you our hands on of the white colored variant of the phone at IFA, Berlin 2014.
The LG G 3 Stylus has a 5.5-inch qHD display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It measures 149.3 x 75.9 x 10.2mm and weighs 163 grams. It borrows G3’s design, comes with a Rubberdium stylus pen and has new user experience (UX) features of the G3.
The phone has a 1.3MP front-facing camera and the earpiece.
At the bottom it has the LG logo on the bezel and on-screen touch buttons.
The entire phone is encompassed in plastic body and comes with a removable back cover.
At the back the G3 Stylus has the power button and volume rockers below the 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash.
The phone has no keys or button the left and right side.
At the top the device has the primary microphone along with a slot for stylus and IR LED for remote control.

Sony has opened first underwater store at the World Islands off the coast of Dubai. Dubbed as 'Xperia Aquatech', it is a concept store located 4 meters under the sea.
“Sony Mobile has always been about elegant and premium design, with the Xperia Aquatech Stores, we wanted to put Sony’s pioneering waterproof technology on its smart devices at the forefront in a manner that would deliver an unforgettable experience to guests and fans in a visually, and emotionally powerful way,”
said Spyros Gousetis, director of marketing at Sony Mobile Middle East and Africa.
The Sony underwater Xperia Aquatech store will only be open for three days. Trained divers will escort shoppers to its underwater shop where they can browse Sony’s water resistant phones, tablets and accessories. The store is not open to all and only lucky competition winners, media and VIPs can visit it.

Microsoft has launched digital gift cards for Windows and Xbox Stores. People can gift their friends and family gift cards for apps, games, music, movies, and TV shows on their Windows PC, tablet, smartphone or Xbox.
In order to send a digital gift card users will have to download the Digital Gifts Card app for Windows Phone. The gift cards feature a variety of colorful themes and designs. You can choose the card and design from themes including Christmas, Holiday (my favorite design is “Stay Cool Snowman”), Hanukkah, Birthday (e.g. “Birthday Gamer”), Anytime and Congratulations. After selecting a gift card you will need to enter the recipient including a special message, and schedule a delivery date.

Xolo has launched Omega 5.0, the company’s latest smartphone with its new HIVE UI . It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, is powered by a 1.4 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592M processor with Mali 450 GPU and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat)-based HIVE UI. Xolo has promised Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for all HIVE UI devices.

Xolo launched the Omega 5.0 smartphone for Rs. 8,999 earlier today. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone. Here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592M processor with 8 ARM Cortex-A7 CPUs clocked at 1.36 GHz per core. It has a Mali 450-MP4 GPU, comes with a 5-inch HD display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with HIVE UI on top. The CPU supports Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP), where all the core can be turned on at the same time. Check out the synthetic benchmark results below.

iberry has launched Auxus ONE, the company's latest smartphone with a 15.5-megapixel swivel camera that can rotate 207 degrees. It has a 5.7-inch HD OGS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core with MediaTek MT6592 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS. It has a touch panel on the back that lets users scroll up/down and capture the images on camera touching the back panel of the phone.
iberry has also launched the Auxus RIST Smartwatch that has SIM support for 3G data and voice calling. Micromax has launched Canvas Xpress, the company's latest budget smartphone in the Canvas series exclusively on Flipkart. It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Huawei launched the Honor Holly smartphone exclusively on Flipkart back in October at a competitive price tag of Rs. 6,999. We reviewed the smartphone recently and found it a decent package in the price range. Today Huawei has announced that it will sell 12,000 units of Honor Holly smartphone on December 8th on Flipkart. The company said that it sold 10,000 units of Holly smartphones in 10 hours when it went on sale yesterday (December 4th).
Since its commercial debut on October 16, the phone has received a tremendous response and each time it was made available on Flipkart, it went out of stock within few hours, said the company. O2 have stolen a march on its rivals by launching the new Google Nexus 6 in the UK a few days ahead of Carphone Warehouse. The handset is available on O2's Refresh tariff and is available to both new and existing customers. The retailer is offering a special deal on the handset, offering unlimited minutes and texts with 2GB data each month for £38 per month. For those wanting it on Pay As You Go, it will cost £479.99 which is less than Google's own retail price.

The Oppo Find 7 may have been introduced in March this year but the handset has finally made it's way to the UK and is available to pre-order from Amazon UK. The handset starts at £319 for the 16GB version whilst those wanting more storage will have to fork out £379 for the 32GB version. Amazon are offering both of these storage variants in Black and White with a release date set for December 17th.
It's taken a long time for Oppo's handset to make it to the UK and it's strange for a manufacturer to launch in a crucial market like the UK more than 8 months after the global launch. It's possible that Oppo has decided its handsets may yet attract attention in the ever-saturated market and have opted for Amazon as the key partner to help their launch.

Apple looks set to open its first retail store in Belgium following years of speculation if postings on its jobs page are to be believed. Belgian blog Apple Nieuws Vlaanderen reports that yesterday Apple posted six job listings for positions in an upcoming Retail location in Brussels. The move follows similar listings for stores in Turkey (which opened earlier this year) and the United Arab Emirates.
Naturally Apple haven't revealed any details on its planned new store nor its location but the store is expected to be on Guldenvlieslaan in a new complex which is currently under construction and expected to be ready in 2015. The store could be the first of a few Apple Stores in the Belgium with the company rumoured to be considering Ghent and Antwerp for future locations following the opening of the Brussels store.
In order to bring its products to more customers and offer its world renowned Genius Bar service in more countries, Apple is expanding its retail footprint both domestically and internationally. New stores are appearing all over the world with the store in the United Arab Emirates expected to be Apple's biggest ever retail store and the first in the entire Middle Eastern region.

Xiaomi Redmi Note went on sale earlier this week on December 2nd, and it sold out in 6 seconds in the first flash sale. Xiaomi usually stops selling the earlier models temporarily to concentrate more on the new model. Now the company has decided to bring back the Redmi 1S, at least for a day. Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi 1S will be back on sale on December 8th, Monday.
Registrations are not required, so it will not be a flash sale, but the sale will end once the stocks are out. The company has not announced how many smartphones would be available or at what time the sale will begin.
This is not the first time Xiaomi has brought back a smartphone after flash sales. As a part of festive offer approximately 25,000 Mi 3 smartphones were added automatically to Flipkart carts of people those who tried to buy Mi 3 and failed at least five times or more .

Barnes & Nobles and Microsoft have terminated their partnership that was signed in 2012. Microsoft had invested $300 million into Nook Media which has lost more than half its value in just two years.
The e-book reader is buying back Redmond's 17.6 percent stake for $62 million and about 2.7 million B&N shares—a loss from the original $300 million investment. All ties between the companies in Nook Media, including contractual obligations, commercial agreements and international content acquisition, will be revoked. Microsoft will lose money on its initial investment, but will also be spared any future payments to fund Nook, which were running at about $21 million per quarter.
"Such termination will allow the Company to continue its rationalization of the Nook Digital business and enhances Barnes & Noble’s operational and strategic flexibility,"
said Barnes & Noble in a statement.

LG announced the G3 Stylus in August that comes with a stylus. The phone went on sale in India for Rs 21,500 in India in October. We already brought you our hands on of the white colored variant of the phone at IFA, Berlin 2014.
The LG G 3 Stylus has a 5.5-inch qHD display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It measures 149.3 x 75.9 x 10.2mm and weighs 163 grams. It borrows G3’s design, comes with a Rubberdium stylus pen and has new user experience (UX) features of the G3.

Sony has opened first underwater store at the World Islands off the coast of Dubai. Dubbed as 'Xperia Aquatech', it is a concept store located 4 meters under the sea.
“Sony Mobile has always been about elegant and premium design, with the Xperia Aquatech Stores, we wanted to put Sony’s pioneering waterproof technology on its smart devices at the forefront in a manner that would deliver an unforgettable experience to guests and fans in a visually, and emotionally powerful way,”

The Sony underwater Xperia Aquatech store will only be open for three days. Microsoft has launched digital gift cards for Windows and Xbox Stores. People can gift their friends and family gift cards for apps, games, music, movies, and TV shows on their Windows PC, tablet, smartphone or Xbox.
In order to send a digital gift card users will have to download the Digital Gifts Card app for Windows Phone. The gift cards feature a variety of colorful themes and designs. You can choose the card and design from themes including Christmas, Holiday (my favorite design is “Stay Cool Snowman”), Hanukkah, Birthday (e.g. “Birthday Gamer”), Anytime and Congratulations. After selecting a gift card you will need to enter the recipient including a special message, and schedule a delivery date.

Xolo launched the Omega 5.0 smartphone for Rs. 8,999 earlier today. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone. Here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592M processor with 8 ARM Cortex-A7 CPUs clocked at 1.36 GHz per core. It has a Mali 450-MP4 GPU, comes with a 5-inch HD display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with HIVE UI on top. Huawei launched the Honor Holly smartphone exclusively on Flipkart back in October at a competitive price tag of Rs. 6,999. We reviewed the smartphone recently and found it a decent package in the price range. Today Huawei has announced that it will sell 12,000 units of Honor Holly smartphone on December 8th on Flipkart. The company said that it sold 10,000 units of Holly smartphones in 10 hours when it went on sale yesterday (December 4th).
Since its commercial debut on October 16, the phone has received a tremendous response and each time it was made available on Flipkart, it went out of stock within few hours, said the company. Apple looks set to open its first retail store in Belgium following years of speculation if postings on its jobs page are to be believed. Belgian blog Apple Nieuws Vlaanderen reports that yesterday Apple posted six job listings for positions in an upcoming Retail location in Brussels. The move follows similar listings for stores in Turkey (which opened earlier this year) and the United Arab Emirates.
Naturally Apple haven't revealed any details on its planned new store nor its location but the store is expected to be on Guldenvlieslaan in a new complex which is currently under construction and expected to be ready in 2015. The store could be the first of a few Apple Stores in the Belgium with the company rumoured to be considering Ghent and Antwerp for future locations following the opening of the Brussels store.
In order to bring its products to more customers and offer its world renowned Genius Bar service in more countries, Apple is expanding its retail footprint both domestically and internationally. Xiaomi Redmi Note went on sale earlier this week on December 2nd, and it sold out in 6 seconds in the first flash sale. Xiaomi usually stops selling the earlier models temporarily to concentrate more on the new model. Now the company has decided to bring back the Redmi 1S, at least for a day. Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi 1S will be back on sale on December 8th, Monday.
Registrations are not required, so it will not be a flash sale, but the sale will end once the stocks are out. The company has not announced how many smartphones would be available or at what time the sale will begin.
This is not the first time Xiaomi has brought back a smartphone after flash sales. As a part of festive offer approximately 25,000 Mi 3 smartphones were added automatically to Flipkart carts of people those who tried to buy Mi 3 and failed at least five times or more .
