Asus has launched the Fonepad 7 (FE171CG) and MeMO Pad 8 (ME581CL) tablets in India. The new Fonepad 7 was unveiled at the CES earlier this year and packs a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The MeMO Pad 8 (ME581CL) that was announced at the Computex last year has a 8-inch (1200×1920 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor, comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. Both these runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Zen UI on top.

Gionee launched the Elife S7 smartphone in the S series yesterday at MWC 2015. We went hands on with the phone at the event so lets take a look at specs and hardware of the phone.

The Gionee Elife S7 sports a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The back cover is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. LG unveiled four new smartphones ahead of MWC 2015 last week. We managed to get our hands on the LG Magna, the top-end smartphone in the series that comes in both 4G and 3G variants. Check out the video below.

The LG Magna has a 5-inch HD display and a 5-megapixel camera on the front for capturing better selfies.
It is powered by Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and has on-screen buttons. There is a LG logo on the bezel, below the display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor for the 3G variant and the LTE variant is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor.
The smartphone is 10.2mm thick. It doesn't have any buttons on the sides since these are present on the back.
The 3.5mm audio jack and the secondary microphone are present on the top.
There is a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. It also comes with a 5-megapixel camera in some markets. It has LG G3-like rear buttons for power and volume controls. Acer announced the Liquid Leap Plus smart activeband yesterday at MWC 2015. The latest wearable is the successor to the Liquid Leap announced last year. We went hands on with the device at the event and now lets take a look at it.

Acer Liquid Leap sports a 1” OLED touchscreen and tracks user’s steps, running distance and calories burned. It is compatible with Android, iOS and Windows Phones.
The werable has no physical buttons and the user interface provides music controls (play, pause, previous and next) and email, calendar, sms notifications.
It comes with interchangeable rubber wristbands. The Liquid Leap is waterproof and has an IPX7 waterproof certification.
The interchangeable band is easy to connect and remove and has acer branding on the clip. Acer claims that the Activeband uses low energy Blutooth 4.0 and has an estimated battery life of 5 to 7 days. The Liquid Leap+ available in Europe for €79 ($88) starting in March and is available in interchangeable bands including colors like Charcoal Black, Fuchsia Pink and Lime Green.

The LG Spirit has a 4.7-inch HD display based on in-cell touch technology. Even this has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The 3G variant is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and the 4G variant is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor (Snapdragon 400 probably)
It runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and has on-screen buttons, instead of capacitive touch buttons. It has LG branding below the display on the bezel. It has 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage with expansion slot.
It is 9.9mm thick and doesn't have any buttons on the back.
There is a 3.5mm audio jack and a secondary microphone on the top.
There is a 8-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash. It also comes with a 5-megapixel camera in some markets. The plastic back cover has metal-like finish. Under the back cover there is a 2,100mAh removable battery.

The Acer M220 has 1300mAh battery and supports connectivity options like 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS. It comes in Mystic Black and Pure White colors and is priced at 79 Euros (US$ 88 / Rs. 5,450 approx.). It will be available in April through selected EMEA retailers.

LG announced the second generation G Flex at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year. The South manufacture has showcased the unique device at the on-going Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and we had a chance to take a look at the device.
LG G Flex was first of its kind device with a curved body and curved P-OLED display. Now, the successor of the original G Flex is out and on paper the model seems to be a game changer in this portfolio.
The G Flex 2 carries the same design language that of its predecessor, but the device has gotten better with its principles and is a lot more attractive now.
LG G Flex 2 sports a 5.5-inch P-OLED curved display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and accounts to a pixel density of 403ppi. The curved screen looks gorgeous and watching high resolution multi-media content in the landscape mode is bliss. The display is protected a layer of Gorilla Glass 3 and the company claims to have enhanced it further, making it 20% tougher than the normal panel.

Samsung unveiled Galaxy S6 Edge along with the Galaxy S6 a couple a days ago at the on-going Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. We had chance to check out the device and play with it for some time - here’s our hand-on report.
Samsung Galaxy S6 edge is quite a looker from the outset and its dual curved display adds some more charm. Samsung Galaxy S6 edge is based on the Galaxy S6 design language, but the experience it offers is completely different than that of its flagship brother. The curved glass cover is unconventional and it does manage to produce a 2.5D effect.
The S6 edge measures 142.1 x 70.1 x 7.0mm and weighs about 132 grams.
The South Korean manufacturer says that they have worked closely with Corning to develop the curved glass for the Galaxy S6 as it requires a specific temperature to achieve the desired shape. Samsung has tweaked its software to take advantage of the display and we are happy to report that they have achieved that to an extent. On Galaxy S6 edge, you can pull your favorite contacts by just swiping from the right edge.

Huawei announced the LTE Cat4 enabled CarFi wireless service yesterday at MWC 2015. We went hands on with the device at the event and here is a look at the hardware.

The CarFi turns your car into a WiFi hotspot and plugs directly into DC port of the cars. It has a micro USB port at the back that can be used to charge your smartphone.
Inside the CarFi you have a SIM card slot and connect to a 4G LTE network. Also present inside is a reset button.
Pressing the power button on top with the Huawei branding will start the device and create a WiFi Zone. The CarFi delivers a download speed of up to 150 Mbps and connectivity for up to 10 devices.
The CarFi comes in three color variations, fashion elite black and warm family wood, and dynamic speed red.

Samsung has announced new and improved Gear VR headsets that works with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. We got to take a sneek peek at the new Gear VR at the event.

The new Gear VR is 15% lighter than the original Gear VR launched in September last year. Gear VR Innovation Edition is optimized for both the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, and its 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display. Samsung claims that the new Gear VR will offer improved high resolution movies, TV shows, VOD services and photos.
Similar to the original VR, this one comes with a trackpad on the right side for navigation. The front of the Gear VR is translucent plastic where we have to insert the phone into the dedicated slot. Samsung has added USB compatibility for the Gear VR and hence it can now be powered with its USB port for extended usage time. The Gear VR Innovation Edition comes in Frost White but there is no information about pricing and availability of the device.

It has a 4.5-inch qHD display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 3G connectivity and dual SIM support.
It has 2GB RAM, has 16GB of internal storage with expansion slot and a 1700mAh battery. Intex has partnered with eBay.in to sell the smartphone.

The LG Urbane sports a 1.3-inch (320 x 320 pixels) P-OLED Display and has a traditional round dial. It comes with a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 SoC, 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage.
It has a dial button on the right side that allows you to navigate the smartwatch. The smarwatch measures 45.5 x 52.2 x 10.9mm.
At the back of dial is the heart rate sensor and charging pins.

The LG Watch Urbane LTE has 1.3-inch (320 x 320 pixels) P-OLED Display and has metal build, but it runs on LG’s own wearable platform with new UX and not Android Wear. It comes with voLTE voice calling support since it has a speaker and a microphone and also comes with NFC support for easy payments.
There are three buttons on the right side of the watch that can be used for navigation and quick setting. The watch has a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 SoC, 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. It has IP67 ratings for dust and water resistance.
At the back of the dial it has heart rate sensor and docking pins for charging.
The belt on the watch is rigid and looks stylish.
