Nokia India launched the 114, an affordable feature phone in India back in January earlier this year, now the company has launched the 114 again, but this has Urdu language support along with the Urdu keypad. With this, Nokia becomes the first ever company to launch a device device with Urdu language option in the country. This is a part of strategy of democratizing the reach and benefits of mobile telephony for consumers, says Nokia India.
It was launched at an event by Shri Kapil Sibal, Honourable Minister of Communications and Information Technology along with P. Balaji, Managing Director, Nokia India in Delhi today. The first Nokia 114 with Urdu capabilities was handed over to Muzaffar Ali, noted film-maker, poet, a revivalist and a social worker.
Nokia had been launching devices with support for 11 Indian languages including Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Bengali, Oriya, Assamese, Punjabi, and Marathi since 2008. It introduced an Akshar, an app for the Asha Touch range of affordable smartphones that allows consumers to interact in their local language.

LG announced their flagship smartphone, G2, nearly a month back and the Moto X was announced just before it and is already available while the LG G2 is yet to be available. The first thing you would notice is that the LG G2 has a bigger 5.2 Full HD Tru IPS display when compared against the 4.7inch HD AMOLED display on the Moto X. Both the display are very good although the G2 has better sharpness and more truer colors. LG G2 has its power lock on the back of the device below the camera while the Moto X follows convention and has it on the right side. Intel has announced the Atom Z3000 Series SoC at the IDF 2013. This was previously called Bay Trail-T and was first announced in May, which is based on 22nm Silvermont Microarchitecture. This supports Android and full Windows 8 operating systems on mobile devices including tablets. This might be the biggest coup for Microsoft in India. IRCTC, the notorious Indian Railways train ticket booking website known for its crashes and slowness under usual heavy Indian loads has received an exclusive app for the Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 platforms, developed in partnership with Microsoft. This app will naturally let you book tickets, make PNR enquiries, check booking and cancellation histories and more. But the most important catch here is that the app will not be able to book tickets between 08:00 to 12:00 or 23:30 to 00:30 hrs of any day. This is presumably to reduce the expected additional load from mobile devices in the peak booking times, due to this app. You can download the app for Windows 8 here (link now LIVE) and Windows Phone 8 here.

We covered the launch of the LG G2 in New York just a few weeks back and and this fully loaded smartphone is about to go on sale in the US and several other markets soon. We managed to grab one just in time for a quick unboxing. The G2 is one of the first phones to be powered by the blazing fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor like the Sony XPERIA Z Ultra. I was in Berlin, Germany for IFA 2013 last week and managed to pick an LTE version of the Nexus 7 2013 which is currently on sale only in a few countries including Germany and UK. We had already unboxed the WiFi only version previous on FoneArena and like always we are always excited about any device with a SIM card slot and here we have the unboxing of the Nexus 7 2013 LTE version.

The packaging is pretty similar to the WiFi version except of the cellular indicator on the side and the mention of LTE at the bottom. The internals and specs are mostly identical to the WiFi version with a gorgeous 7 inch full HD display and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor running at 1.5 GHz and Adreno 320 GPU. The LTE version is 299g in terms of weight whereas the WiFi version weighs only 290g mainly due to the additional components but that difference in weight is negligible There is 32GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. There is a 3950 mAh battery promising up to 9 hours of usage. Wireless charging is present as well.

LG device with the codename – LG D820 has passed the FCC for approval last week, now images of the same device has been spotted in the FCC filings. First spotted by PhoneScoop, these images look similar to the upcoming Nexus device spotted in the official video that surfaced last week with a large camera. However this doesn't have a Nexus branding on the back, since this might be a prototype device for testing.
The phone has a 4.96-inch screen, according to the filing and has WiFi 802.11ac dual-band, NFC and packs a 2,300mAh battery. Last week's FCC documentation revealed that the phone would feature a MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 SoC and run on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Since the G2 has 2GB RAM, this might feature same amount of RAM.
The Google Nexus 4 was was launched back in November last year along with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Hope we can expect the Google Nexus 5 soon along with the Android 4.4 (KitKat) which might bring lot of new features.

This has been blowing up on the Internet for the past few hours. New York Times reporter Nick Wingfield initially had this scoop that Nokia was testing Android on its Lumia range of devices as a "Plan B" if Windows Phone completely fails to take off.
