Xolo Q2000 is a 5.5inch HD smartphone that has all the makings of a typical mid-range Indian phablet(the market which seems to have no end). Xolo Play Tegra Note that was announced back in September as NVIDIA Tegra Note was spotted online earlier this week. Now the tablet is available for pre-order on Flipkart. Samsung just launched the second iteration of their budget smartphone in the form of Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2. Samsung launched a similar smartphone last year and it was quite a hit considering the fact that it almost looked like the flagship(Samsung Galaxy S3 at that time / You can argue that all Samsung smartphones look alike). This year Samsung have launched an updated(well the numeric convention says so) version of the Galaxy S Duos as Galaxy S Duos 2.

Samsung Galaxy S Duos was very popular phone in 2012 and at the end of 2013, Samsung have announced a successor - Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2. Galaxy S Duos 2 takes up the job of being a budget smartphone and at the same time, providing Samsung's TouchWiz UI along with average specifications. The camera on Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 has not changed and it still has the same 5MP sensor. However, thanks to an updated processor, Galaxy S Duos 2 is capable of recording 720p videos.

Yesterday, Asus announced that the Padfone mini would be unveiled on December 11th at an event Taipei, Taiwan. Thanks to evleaks, we now know how the Padfone mini would look like. We already know the phone would have a 4.3-inch screen. According to earlier rumors the Padfone mini is expected to come with a 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels) display, powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor and run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean).
Unlike other Padfone stations, the small Padfone station for the Padfone mini would let you dock the phone in the portrait mode, so that you can use it as a small tablet, just like the Nexus 7. The tablet has the power and the volume rockers on the back, just like the Asus Fonepad tablet. The mini Padfone station is expected to feature a 7-inch display. We still don't have the complete specifications of the device yet.
These leaked press image shows off the device in Black color, so it not clear if the Padfone mini would come in White color like the Padfone Infinity.
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab 3 with a 7-inch display back in April. It launched in India in two different variants, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 211 with 3G support and the WiFi variant was launched as Galaxy Tab 3 210. Samsung even launched the Galaxy Tab 3 310 and the Galaxy Tab 3 311 with a 8-inch display. Now Sammobile reports that Samsung plans to launch the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite in January 2014.
According to the report the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite would be the cheapest Samsung tablet, which would come at price tag of around 100 Euros (~Rs. 8,400). It would come in both 3G and WiFi variants like the Tab 3.
The Wi-Fi variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite in Cream White color would go on sale first, in the second week of 2014, followed by the 3G variant in the third week. Ebony Black color variant of both the 3G and WiFi variants would be available in fourth and sixth week of 2014 respectively. These are just tentative launch dates, so the final date might vary, says the report.

At last the wait for the next generation iPads to launch in India is over. Apple has today introduced the iPad Air as well as the iPad Mini with Retina display here in the country. The tablets will be officially unveiled at an event later today however the prices are already available. In contrast to the previous generation, the iPad Mini and full size iPad are almost at par in terms of specifications with the key difference being the screen size difference. Xolo Q2000 is yet another Indian phablet in the mid-range smartphone segment. Like most mid-range phablets these days, the Xolo Q2000 comes with a HD display and is powered by the very very very common MediaTek MT6589 processor. iBall Andi5.5N2 QUADRO, a new smartphone in the Andi series is now on sale from online retailers Snapdeal and Shopclues. It has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Samsung unveiled the Galaxy J with 3GB of RAM and similar specifications as the Galaxy S4, back in October for NTT Docomo in Japan. Today Samsung has launched the international version of the Galaxy J (SGH-N075T) in Taiwan. It has a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display, powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 13.2MP rear camera with LED Flash, BSI and Full HD video recording and a 2.1MP front-facing camera.
It packs 2600 mAh battery which can be swapped with the GALAXY S4's (GT-I9500) battery. It also has LTE (cat 4) support that offers speeds up to 150 Mbps.

Today, we have four Full HD smartphones from Indian manufacturers - Gionee Elife E6 vs Intex Aqua i7 vs Micromax Canvas Turbo vs Zen Ultrafone Amaze 701 FHD. All these phones have a lot of similarities and that makes it a very difficult to pick a clear winner among the four devices.

Nokia has finally unveiled the BH-121 Bluetooth Stereo Headset with NFC support. The Bluetooth headset was leaked as Nokia Guru, back in October and was expected launch at the Dubai event along with the Lumia 1520 and the Lumia 2520. The Bluetooth Stereo headset comes with in-ear headphones (WH-208) that connects to the headset through a 3.5mm jack and weighs just 15.7 grams. It has Digital Signal Process (DSP) and Echo cancellation for enhanced audio output.
It uses Bluetooth 3.0 for pairing and also supports on-touch NFC pairing to connect with phones with NFC. It supports advanced Bluetooth features like HFP/HSP and/or A2DP/AVRCP profiles. This Clip-on style headset has hardware buttons including a button to switch to previous or Next tracks, Multifunction key to accept calls or play/pause, Power on/off key and a key to adjust the volume. Not even 8 months have passed since the Samsung Galaxy S4's launch but we are already seeing rumours and leaks of Samsung Galaxy S5 aplenty. Sure, Samsung's flagship usually gets this attention every year, but we feel it is too soon this time. Amongst the various "leaks" floating around in the internet is one peculiar benchmark result from Browsermark. We may be wrong, but we have solid reasons why this is not the Samsung Galaxy S5. Firstly, lets see what this is all about. Apparently, an unknown device codenamed SM-G900F has appeared at the no. 3 position in Browsermark results page for Top 5 Web Phones, which some think, is the upcoming Galaxy S5. Is it?
We think not, and here's our counter argument. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 is right above the SM-G900F's score, which means that this new device might have the same processor inside. Secondly, if this is going to be a Galaxy S5, this sure damn well will be more powerful than the Note 3, as we have seen with all the Galaxy S releases after the Note ones. Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon 410, their latest chip with integrated LTE support aimed at emerging markets. The chip is based on Cortex A53 in the Cortex A50 series, based on ARMv8 architecture and 64-bit processing technology. The 410 series is built on 28nm process technology and have Adreno 306 GPU for 1080p video playback.
Since it has Qualcomm 9x25 based LTE modem that is used on Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processors, it supports 4G LTE and 3G cellular connectivity for all major modes and frequency bands across the globe. It also includes support for Dual and Triple SIM cards.
It is aimed at highly affordable 4G LTE smartphones at a sub $150 (Rs. 9170) price point. Since these have global LTE support, it will obviously come with 2300 MHz (Band 40) that is currently available in India on Airtel, which would be available on smartphones later this month starting from Bangalore. Reliance Jio is also expected to roll out 4G LTE in the first half of 2014.

Google announced their Android 4.4 KitKat version on November 1 and unveiled the next Nexus smartphone - Google Nexus 5. The camera of Google Nexus 5 did not prove to be the camera it was meant to be and Google put the blame on the software. The search engine giant promised that the problem would soon be fixed and less than 50 days after the announcement of Android 4.4 KitKat, Google started seeding a minor update in the form of Android 4.4.1.
Android 4.4.1 KitKat lasted is less than 5 days old and according to sources, the update is currently pulled due to certain issues. Google have patched things up and released the Android 4.4.2 update today and it is gradually rolling out to Nexus devices. HTC has launched the Desire 601 dual SIM, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in India. Specifications are similar to the single SIM variant that was announced back in September.It packs a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.4 GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with the new Sense UI. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, HTC Zoe with Sequence Shot, Always Smile and Object Removal, Gallery with Video Highlights and HTC Share and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support with dual active capabilities.
It is 9.88mm thick, bit thicker than the Desire 600 dual SIM that was launched in India back in July and packs a 2100 mAh non-removable battery. It also has HTC BlinkFeed home screen and HTC BoomSound with Dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers similar to the Desire 700 dual SIM.
