Very recently, Google had announced the Android 4.4.1 update to fix the Nexus 5's camera. The update was quickly superseded with the 4.4.2 update that brought in more fixes and was directly delivered to all 4.4 users. We had reviewed the Nexus 5 initially, and found it to offer good pictures only in the HDR+ mode and not the normal mode which produced average pictures with warm saturated colours. Google says they have fixed that with the 4.4.2 update, with improved autofocus times and general overall speediness that will hopefully reduce the shot-to-shot time. Well, does it? To reiterate again, the main changes here are all about the camera. So, to test this out, we took two Nexus 5s, one with Android 4.4.2 and one without, taking several images and a video to see if the changes are visible enough for us, the end user. Oppo, the company behind awesome products like the Find 5 and N1, has just teased an upcoming feature of its yet-to-be-released Oppo Find 7. iPad Air and iPad mini with retina display are Apple's latest generation iPads. The bigger of the two - iPad Air was redesigned to be lighter, thinner and smaller than its predecessor while the smaller among the two - iPad mini with Retina display was muscled up with a better display and a much better processor making it slightly bigger and heavier. With this contradictory approach to the new generation iPads, Apple has achieved a subtle balance between its two iPads.
Both the iPads - iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display are almost exactly similar in terms of specifications. They are powered by the same 64bit A7 processor along with M7 co-processor. There is a 5MP rear camera that can record 1080p videos along with 1.2MP front facing Facetime camera. The only difference is their display sizes - iPad Air has a 9.7inch display while the iPad mini with Retina display has a 7.9 inch display and both these displays have the same resolution of 2048x1536 pixes, thus giving the iPad Air a pixel density of 264ppi while the iPad mini with Retina display gets a pixel density of 326ppi.

Huawei has announced two new devices in the Honor series, the Honor 3X and the Honor 3C in China. The Honor 3X has a 5.5-inch 720p sensitive screen (usage with gloves) and the Honor 3C has a 5-inch 720p LTPS screen. Micromax was the first company in India to pre-install BBM on all its Canvas smartphones in India. Now BlackBerry and LG have entered into a partnership to pre-load BlackBerry Messenger on all LG smartphones involving both standard and virtual preloading (using the LG App Manager).
