Xiaomi after slashing the price of Mi MIX 2 by Rs. 3,000 in January, has again announced a permanent price cut in India, bringing the price down to Rs. 29,999. The phone was initially launched back in October Rs. 35999 and this permanent price drop is applicable on mi.com, Mi Home, and official partners like Flipkart.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 sports a 5.99-inch 18:9 Full HD+ display with ultra narrow bezels and is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 Mobile platform with 6GB of RAM. It features a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor and a 5-megapixel camera on the front on the right bottom that also supports face recognition.

OnePlus announced its flagship OnePlus 6 smartphone at an event in London yesterday, now the company has launched it in India, as it had promised. It has a 6.29-inch Optic AMOLED display with a notch, about 84% screen-to-body ratio and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with up to 8GB of RAM. It runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with OxygenOS 5.1, and the company already promised that it will get Android P beta starting this week
It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX519 sensor, f/1.7 aperture, OIS as well as EIS. The sensor is 19% bigger compared to the predecessor. It has the same 20-megapixel secondary camera with Sony IMX376K sensor and f/1.7 aperture, same as 5T for portrait shots and 2x zoom. Even the front camera uses the same 16-megapixel Sony IMX 371 sensor as the 5T. The company has promised portrait mode for the front camera through software update.

HTC is on the verge of launching the U12+ flagship in the coming week and today ahead of the launch we see the design of the phone in its complete glory along with the specifications. As expected, the U12+ sports a 6-inches Quad HD+ display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, 6GB RAM.

Google previously announced that it would start displaying “not secure” labels to HTTP sites back in February. Google shows the secure label for sites with HTTPS in its address bar so to make users feel that the web is secure by default and needs no indication.
Google intends to warn users when there’s an issue, meaning that the default unmarked state is secure so, Google is marching towards removing Chrome’s positive security indicators. Chrome will roll this out over time; it will start by removing the “Secure” wording and HTTPS scheme with Google Chrome 69 that will roll out in September 2018.
Since the usage of HTTP was high, marking all HTTP pages with a strong red warning became tedious, but in October 2018 (Chrome 70), Google will start showing the red “not secure” warning when users enter data on HTTP pages. For those who are not familiar, HTTPS is a more secure version of the HTTP protocol used on the internet. This also reduces the risk of users being vulnerable to content injection or any other phishing attacks.
Google with the release of Chrome 56 that was rolled out in January 2017 started marking HTTP pages as not secure when data is being entered.

Microsoft has announced new Xbox Adaptive Controller for differently-abled players. It was developed in partnership with organizations around the world, including The AbleGamers Charity, The Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Craig Hospital, SpecialEffect, and Warfighter Engaged.
It is aimed at gamers with limited mobility to assist in our development and make the device as adaptable as possible. It has two large buttons built in, and these buttons can also be reprogrammed to act as any of the standard controller’s button inputs via the Xbox Accessories app.
Microsoft has also worked with third-party manufacturers to support external inputs which can be plugged into the new controller; these inputs include PDP’s One-Handed Joystick for the Xbox Adaptive Controller, Logitech’s Extreme 3D Pro Joystick, and Quadstick’s Game Controller.
The Xbox Adaptive Controller will cost $99.99 and goes on sale later this year but will go on pre-order very soon.

Update: As promised OnePlus has released Android P Beta for the OnePlus 6, soon after the announcement, and before it goes on sale next week. It also warns that some functions like VoLTE and Face Unlock doesn't work. You can download Android P ROM from here and flash manually at your own risk. Alphabet Inc’s Google says that an India anti-trust ruling that found it to be guilty of search bias could cause “irreparable” harm and reputational loss to the company. To refresh your memory, Indian Antitrust watchdog has fined Google Rs.135.86 crores back in February.
The firm slammed Google for abusing its position in online web search and has also slammed the company for preventing its partners from using competing search services. However, Google opined that the ruling raised only “narrow concerns” and in its plea challenging, the company opined that the impact could be far greater. According to the plea, the order said: "Google required to change the way it conducts business in India on a lasting basis and the way it designs its search results page in India."
Among the other things, Google was asked to stop imposing restrictions on its direct search agreements with other publishers. However, Google says that allowing the CCI’s findings implemented without proper scrutiny would cause the company 'irreparable reputational loss” seeking a stay on the ruling. Google managed to get a partial stay on the ruling from India’s company law tribunal, allowing it to deposit only a small part of the imposed penalty.

Google is said to be working on a standalone AR headset, and the project is for now codenamed Google A65. Now we are having more details about the project; according to the reports from Winfuture.de who claims to have documents that indicate Google's working with Taiwanese manufacturer Quanta on the AR headset.
Going back in time, Google has a working history with Quanta for Pixel C tablet. The new VR headset said to feature camera sensors, microphones with a possibility to operate the headset with Google Assistant. It is said to have a custom quad-core internet-of-things-focused Qualcomm QSC603 that is based on the ARM Cortex-A75.
The processor has support up to 2,560 x 1,440 resolution (WQHD), 1080p and 1030p video capture, 3D overlays and rendering interfaces OpenGL, OpenCL and Vulcan, Gigabit wireless, Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS. Furthermore, it also supports the Android Neural Networks API. However, it looks like the headset will still need to be wired to a computer despite wireless mixed-reality headsets becoming available. Google declined to comment on the new development right away.

Update: Flipkart has confirmed that Vivo is indeed launching the in-display fingerprint sensor version of the X21 in India on May 29th exclusively with them.
Earlier: Vivo just sent an invite to launch a new smartphone in India on May 29th. The invite has a big 'X' so it will be 'X series' smartphone, which will likely be the X21 that was introduced in China back in March. The under-display fingerprint sensor version was also launched in Singapore last week.
It is not clear if the company is planning both the standard version with rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and the top-end version of the phone with under-display fingerprint sensor. There is also X21i that got certified in China today with Helio P60 SoC and a 24-megapixel front camera.
