With the increasing number of devices that we carry, it can become quite a hassle to have a data connection on all. A MiFi comes in pretty handy in such situations allowing you to fire up the data connection on one device and use it across smartphones, tablets and even laptops. Huawei recently launched their latest generation MiFi product in India and we got one in to review. Read on to find out our impressions of the product. Design Shaped like a small pebble, the Huawei E5331 feels really nice when held. The smooth white plastics used reek of high quality but the removable back panel feels somewhat flimsy. Over on the front you'll spot 4 icons that light up with a single button placed next to them. The icons correspond to signal strength, WiFi, battery and SMS. They light up in two colors depending on the signal strength or battery power left. Under the cover you'll find a battery rated for 4.5 hours of usage. Under fairly heavy usage we were able to get just about 4 hours of usage out of the Huawei E5331 which is quite decent for a product in this category. A solitary microUSB port can be spotted on the ...

The surge in homegrown brands has led to a wide variety of very similar Android devices in the market. As manufacturers struggle to differentiate their products from the competition, we've seen an uptick in hardware quality and software optimization. Micromax however has decided to bank on a gimmick to market their new device. Is 3D compatibility reason enough to go in for the Micromax A115 Canvas 3D ? Read on to find out.  Design The Micromax Canvas 3D doesn't break any boundaries with its design. You've seen this design both within the Micromax line of devices as well as from competitors however it isn't an eyesore by any means. What you get is a very utilitarian look that focuses on not getting in the way of you and the phone. On the front of the phone you'll spot a large 5 inch display with a not so amazing WVGA resolution but more on that later. You can spot a front facing camera over at the top. Further down below the screen are the capacitive buttons. Fairly responsive in nature, they are equipped with backlighting so it should not be a problem using them in the dark as well. We were quite impressed by the build ...

The Micromax A110 Superfone Canvas 2 was the phone that kickstarted a new range of big screened smartphones from Micromax, and after the success of the Canvas HD, Micromax seems ready for yet another device, called the "Canvas 4". Micromax teased the side-facing image of the upcoming phone and the ever important pre-booking date of June 28. The side facing image of the phone suggests a metallic finish, with a large volume rocker and a plastic band, supposedly for boosting the antenna performance. The camera hump on the backs seems slightly visible and the back cover might be glassy considering what we can see from the picture. The long nature of the device also suggests the screen size might be even larger than the 5 inch Canvas HD. But we are now left wanting for more. Will it be a 1080p screen? Will it be actually of better build than the Canvas HD? Is this going to be another device aimed at courting budget minded users wanting a Galaxy S4? What do you think? Let us know in the comments section below. Source Micromax Facebook

Remember the last time when the Nokia EOS and its circular 41 MP camera hump leaked out? It looked a lot like the Lumia 920 with a polycarbonate body that time, but there is yet another leak, and from the looks of it, it's from the shady factories in China. The above two images literally show off a metallic body for the highly awaited Nokia EOS device to be launched by Nokia at an event in NYC on July 11th. The metallic body is a surprise as the device was already shown off in a polycarbonate body, but from what we can see above, the metallic body seems like an option as a part of the different colours, or at least we hope. As previously noted, the Nokia EOS is the much awaited 41 MP successor to the camera king 808 PureView, but running on Windows Phone 8. While the times has massively changed since the unveiling of the 808, one thing still stands and that is the camera performance. It still has been unparalleled, and Nokia hope to repeat the success story with the Nokia EOS PureView, with possibly a change in camera interface, which is highly needed, as we ...

It was only yesterday when Micromax had started the teaser campaign in Facebook for its upcoming flagship device, the Micromax Canvas 4, and as a follow up, they have released two teaser videos in their YouTube channel showing off the device in (almost) full glory. The design revealed, bears a close resemblance to some other phones we have seen, but it does seems to have an aluminium frame and the 13 Megapixel camera unit was proudly boasted in the first teaser video. Lets take a look at the teaser videos then - httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGGpGoH-5bE httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yvF2FioFps As you can see above, the nicely designed aluminium frame and its black band stand out for being similar to the iPhone 4 while the other parts are reminiscent of the usual formulaic design that most Android manufacturers pursue. The 13 megapixel camera seems to be housed off center and sits on a slightly raised hump, right besides the LED flash and the microphone. The Micromax logo is visible below. The plastic on the back seems to be molded with ergonomics in mind, with a curvy finish to the sides. Considering stark similarities in design with a certain other device, we think the specifications are going to be - 5 inch ...

Amidst a sea of 5 inch phablets in the mid range category comes Xolo's entry, the Q1000. Launched a while back, for a price of Rs. 14,999, the device has landed in our labs for testing. The 5 inch 720p screen has been a standard in most devices in this price range and they all come with very similar specs, so we went ahead and unboxed the Xolo Q1000 for you, with an unsuspecting view of the retail box contents and some initial thoughts on the device, watch the video - httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZ7MNrYMmKY The box contents are shown off in the image above. Apart from all the usual suspects, it was good to see a scratch guard inside the box(not shown above). That's a sensible addition because people buy it anyway. The device, with its really thin bezel and a metallic rim on the sides stands out in terms of build quality except for the glossy plastic back. Samsung is in talks with several carriers to introduce its LTE-Advanced version of the Samsung Galaxy S4. LTE Advanced 4G is an upgrade from the conventional LTE networks deployed currently and offers a data transmission speed at up to double the speeds of standard 4G networks. The phones will run on Qualcomm chipsets and could possibly be powered by the Snapdragon 800 processor. The news follows reports that industry analysts have cut sales forecasts for the Galaxy S4 by as much as 30 percent owing to saturation in the high end smartphone market. Samsung's market capitalization is $195 billion but the company's shares have lost almost $20 billion in value since June 7th. Samsung's JK Shin reaffirms that sales for the Galaxy S4 remain strong and variants with faster data transmission, rugged designs will only bolster this demand. We reviewed the Galaxy S4 and found it to be a very powerful high end handset with a compelling feature set. [Via - Reuters]
