Google is said to begin testing the dark mode in Chrome for Android in a move to bring the company's browser towards the trend of the dark side.  Google Chrome Canary for Windows and Mac had a hidden dark mode that could be enabled with a command line flag was discovered earlier.  It's obvious that Google's next move would be to bring the dark theme to Chrome for Android. This combined with Android Q's seemingly system-wide dark theme, it's only a matter of time before Google brings the dark theme to Chrome Android app. In-line with the expectations, a new commit has been posted to Chromium’s Gerrit source code management. In it, it is very clear that Google has been working on dark mode for Chrome for Android. Unfortunately, the dark mode is also hidden behind a build flag, meaning, we won't be able to see the dark theme on Chrome for Android anytime soon, even on Canary builds. However, when the dark mode does become available to test, it should be found under the flag “#enable-android-night-mode,” but as said, it might be a while before it becomes available. Source | Via

Google has announced that it will be rolling out the ad filter designed to block intrusive and disruptive ads in Chrome worldwide later this year. Starting July 9th, the company will prevent any advertisements that violate the Coalition for Better Ads' Better Ads Standards from appearing on sites.  Once the filter is enabled worldwide, Google will block out 12 different types of ads that users might find annoying to deal with. This includes pop-ups, auto-playing videos, full-screen ads, and prestitial ads that appear before the content of a page loads. Google says that if a website is found to be repeatedly displaying any of the ad types that are blocked by the filter, it will stop display all ads on its pages. Google is giving publishers and advertisers tools to access if their current ads would pass the filter. Google introduced the ad filtering process to Chrome for users in the US, Canda, and Europe some time ago. Google claims that the filter system has pushed a significant number of publishers to adopt better ads. Google also reported that less than one percent of sites have had their ads filtered, this means that most of the sites on the web are avoiding annoying and intrusive advertisements. Source

At this moment, it is more or less confirmed that Samsung will launch three models of the Galaxy S10 including a new, entry-level model with lower specs with a lower price tag. This model is referred to as the Galaxy S10 Lite. According to the new report, it might be called the Galaxy S10 E.  This new piece of information comes from a supplier who claims to have used the Galaxy S10 E device for testing their screen protectors. The supplier further claims that the cheapest Galaxy S10 model will not feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. Online retailer Mobile Fun has received this information from one of its “long-standing” suppliers in China. It’s now claimed that the three models will be called the Galaxy S10 E, Galaxy S10, and the Galaxy S10+. Three screen sizes will be 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.4-inch respectively. Since the base model with a cheaper model is to make the flagship more affordable, some cost-cutting is inevitable. This particular model is also believed to feature a flat Infinity-O display, not the curved one as the other two. It is understandable that this new model will not have an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Infinity-O display means that there’s no room for an iris sensor as well. However, this ...

It's almost an year since Xiaomi launched its first set of Mi TVs in India and one can say they've had a good run, if not great. While there was only one 4K Mi TV at launch, the rest of 2018 saw Mi TVs hitting different price points with full HD and HD ready panels starting at a really low price of Rs. 14,999. This definitely helped push more sales but the flagship Mi TV, which launched at Rs. 39,999, a stunning price at that time, became Rs. 49,999 when it got upgraded to the Mi TV Pro. This kind of removed the advantage Xiaomi had over other brands, purely in terms of pricing and competitiveness. Enter 2019, we have the Mi TV 4X Pro which aims to address this issue. Xiaomi has priced it at Rs. 39,999, which brings it back into the game. It's a flagship range 55 inch 4K panel with 10-bit HDR, the speakers have been upgraded to boast a 20W output with surround sound, runs Android TV with Xiaomi's intelligent Patchwall that enables stand out features like universal Google search for both online and satellite TV content, has chromecast built-in and well, as you would expect, ...
