Asus launched a lot of Android devices at the CES 2014 alongwith a few Windows based devices. Among the few Windows based devices that it announced, the Asus Vivotab Note 8 is one. It is the company's first 8inch Windows 8.1 tablet. With the Asus Vivotab Note 8, Asus joins the bandwagon of companies that are interested in the 8inch Windows tablet market. The Asus Vivotab Note 8 is similar to the other Windows 8 tablets on so many aspects, but is set apart from the crowd by its Wacom digitizer. The pricing of the tablet is on par with the rest of the competition except that the competition doesn't offer a Wacom digitizer. The rest of the specifications are similar with a 8inch 1280x800 pixel display, Intel Atom Z2580 processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage along with a microSD card slot for expansion of internal storage.
There is also a 5MP camera on the back and 1.2MP camera on the front. There is a 3950mAh battery to ensure that the tablet's battery life doesn't become a problem.

Two new Micromax Funbook tablets, the Micromax Funbook P365 and the Funbook P256 are available online. These tablets have a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. The Funbook P365 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 processor with Mali 400 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Funbook P256 is powered by a 1.2 GHz single-core Cortex A8 processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Xolo Q700S with 4.5-inch display, 1.3 GHz quad-core processor now available for Rs. 9499
Xolo launched the Q700, the company’s second smartphone in the Q CORE series back in May 2013. It even launched the Xolo Q700i with upgraded camera in October. Now the Xolo Q700S is available for sale on eBay. It has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) 1capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-core Mediatek MT6582M processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Micromax Canvas Mad A94 with 4.5-inch display goes on sale for Rs. 8490
Yesterday we reported about the Micromax Canvas Mad A94 launching this week. The phone is now available from retailers, as reported by Mahesh Telecom. The phone has a 4.5-inch IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). As the phone is called Canvas MAd, you'll be paid for watching video ads on the phone. The tag line reads "Get proud to be mad about ads".
Apart from the small image on top, official render of the phone is not available at the moment, but you can check out the image of the phone on the retail box shared by Mahesh Telecom. The phone has a 5-megapixe auto focus rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Display resolution is not available at the moment.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Grand 2 (SM-G7102) in India last month and announced that the phone would go on sale this month. It also announced that the phone would be priced between Rs. 22900 and Rs. 24900. Now the phone has been listed on the official Samsung eStore at a price tag of Rs. 22,999. The Grand 2 has a 5.25-inch (1280 x 720 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean).

Micromax has finally launched the Micromax Canvas Mad A94, the company's latest smartphone in the Canvas series. it has built-in MAd app that pays lets you earn points to watch Ads, which can be converted into rupees that would be credited to users' postpaid or prepaid account. The phone packs a 4.5-inch (480 x 854 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Broadcom BCM23550 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Xolo Q1000 Opus gets a firmware update to fix camera bugs
Xolo launched the Q1000 Opus, the company's first quad-core smartphone with a quad-core Broadcom chip in the Q CORE series last month. We reviewed the smartphone recently and found some bugs in the camera that crashes the camera often. Xolo has released a minor firmware update that fixes these issues. Huawei becomes official Smartphone partner of Arsenal Football Club
Arsenal and Huawei have announced a new partnership that will see Huawei becomes the global smartphone partner for the Arsenal Football Club globally. It will also include exclusive offers, content and brand presence during Arsenal matches. This partnership would be officially unveiled to the fans at Emirates Stadium before the Premier League clash with Fulham on Saturday.
This would see officials and players taking part in Huawei's communication and promotional activities both in the UK and overseas. Back in 2013 HTC became the official Smartphone partner of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League in a three-year partnership. Xolo Q3000 Benchmarks
Xolo launched the Q3000, the company's first smartphone with a full HD display last month. We already brought you the unboxing of the device earlier this week, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It packs a 5.7-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display, but it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 6589T processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU, similar to the Q1000S. Lava announced its new phone, the Iris Pro 30 at an event in Delhi yesterday. The company talked in length about its focus on hardware quality and materials used. In our hands on impressions, we found that despite looking very heavily inspired by the iPhone, the phone does have better build quality than most others in its category. Additionally, the screen is amongst the best we've seen in the category. Priced at Rs 15,990, the Android 4.2.2 running phone is powered by a 1.2Ghz quad core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. There's a woeful 4GB of built in storage but you can expand this via the microSD card slot. The camera is an 8MP unit with a Samsung sensor.

Lenovo Miix 2 10.1inch Windows 8 Tablet Hands on
Among the many products that Lenovo showcased at the CES 2014, the Lenovo Miix 2 tablets had their place. Prior to the CES 2014, Lenovo had announced their Miix 2 8inch tablet and at CES 2014, they showed off their 10.1inch offering of the same series. The Lenovo Miix 2 10.1inch is a very interesting device as it can be used as both a tablet as well as a laptop. The Miix 2 10.1inch model comes with a detachable display unit that can function as a tablet when detached. It can be attached to the keyboard dock in two ways - 1) Facing the keyboard and hence can be used a full featured laptop and 2) Facing the speakers and hence as a complete entertainment package thanks to the JBL speakers.
