Samsung announced a few products for the Indian market today and among them is the Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo. Samsung is, off late, adding a "Neo" to its already existing products and with the addition of the tag, it suggests that they are meant for the mid-range and entry range buyers. The Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo has specifications relatively less powerful than the Galaxy Grand 2.

Acer usually unveils new smartphones at the MWC every year. The company has started teasing their upcoming Liquid smartphone, just in time for the MWC 2014. The first image shows the camera module, LED flash and a secondary microphone on the back of the phone. You also have a something like a fingerprint sensor below the camera module.
You can also see two slots on the right side of the phone, which hints that the phone might come with dual SIM support. You have the 3.5mm audio jack and a power button on the top.
Another images shows the bottom part of a smartphone that has a micro USB slot. The caption says, "The perfect fit for your hand and pocket revealed in 3 days." We still don't have the specifications of this Liquid smartphone yet. Acer unveiled the Liquid Z5, successor of the Liquid Z3 last month.
The Acer Liquid S2 with 6-inch 1080p display and a Snapdragon 800 processor was unveiled back in September at the IFA 2013. We have three more days to go, so we can expect more images before the smartphone is revealed completely.
Lack of popular apps doesn't seem to be a problem anymore for the Windows Phone platform as they have lots of applications from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. They happen to have some exclusives for the platform and a fitness application exclusive for Windows Phones comes from the creators of Windows Phone themselves.

Earlier today Samsung launched the Galaxy NotePRO, the company’s latest tablet with a huge 12.2-inch screen in India at a price tag of Rs. 64,900. We got some hands-on time with the tablet at the Samsung Forum 2014 in Bali, where is launched. It comes with a S Pen stylus that docks on the back of the tablet and has a Wacom Digitizer for pressure sensitive input, just like the previous Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. It has a 12.2-inch (2560×1600 pixels) WQXGA display, powered by a Octa-Core Exynos 5 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Samsung’s own Touch Wiz UI on top.
It has the same leather-like finish on the back, similar to the Galaxy Note 3. It packs an 8-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash. It comes with 3GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB internal storage, microSD slot that accepts cards up to 64GB.
You can see the S Pen slot on side. It packs a 9,500mAh battery.

HTC Desire 8, the company's upcoming mid-range desire smartphone leaked last week along with specifications. As you can see from the official image with the invite, HTC has confirmed on Weibo that it would be officially unveiled on February 24th in China. Earlier leak revealed that the phone would come with a 5.5-inch display and a 13-megapixel rear camera. New leak popular HTC developer llabtoofer reveals the complete specifications of the smartphone, but the battery capacity is not available yet.

According to the rumors, the phone would come in single SIM and dual SIM variants. The single SIM CDMA/LTE variant would head to Sprint USA, TD-LTE variant would head to Chinese markets and the global 3G variant with dual SIM (WCDMA and GSM) support would be available for global markets such as Europe, Africa and Asia.
Intel is the company everybody knew because of processors that still power the everyday PCs and laptops. But the sales of PCs and laptops has been outdone by the sales of smartphones and tablets. People are moving on and portable devices are the new thing. Intel has been producing chips for the smartphones and tablets, but it hasn't earned much of a consideration from the manufacturers who seem to be more than content with ARM based SoCs. Intel has to fight hard to survive this battle and looks like they are having another go at the smartphone and tablet market in the upcoming MWC 2014.
At MWC 2014, a lot of smartphone manufacturers are expected to showcase their new products and Intel will be present there showing off its new series of tablet and smartphone SoC trying to lure the manufacturers to produce handsets with their SoCs. In terms of architecture, the smartphone and tablet industry on the whole is clearly dominated by ARM chips and Intel has to do something to gain a share.

The 6-inch screen at a resolution of 1280 by 720 at 245 ppi pixel density is decent. It is based on One-Glass-Solution (OGS), so the viewing angles are good. This display is bright and the colors are vibrant, but the sunlight legibility is just average. The screen is reflective and is prone to fingerprints. Samsung has finally announced the list of devices that would receive the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update, but this list is only for the U.S. variants. Samsung started rolling out the KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 3 last month. The Indian Exynos variant of the Note 3 got the KitKat update by the end of January. It is yet to roll out the KitKat update for other devices.
The Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) software update would bring easy-to-use features that enhance the user experience, including a more intuitive user interface, enhanced messaging capabilities and updated applications, said Samsung. The update would also bring.
Location Menu: An integrated location menu enables users to easily activate GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile networks, while simultaneously checking the battery usage of apps running location service capabilities.

When BlackBerry announced that it is making its popular messaging service, BBM, into a cross platform service, the entire tech industry erupted in euphoria. And when BlackBerry finally released their BBM Chat for Android, there was so much rush that a lot of people had to wait to try out BBM and that indicated a clear interest of the crowd in BBM.
However, from the time of release until now, BBM for Android has been available only on Android 4.0+ devices and with Android Gingerbread 2.3 still accounting for 20% of Android users, a lot of people were left without access to BBM. BlackBeery had stated that they were working hard to bring BBM for Gingerbread users and they have lived up to their word.
Some of the features that the users of Android 2.3 Gingerbread will not be able to use includes - BBM's Voice Call, Live location tracking on Map and BBM Channels. There is no word on whether these features will be addressed in the coming version or not, but we sure do hope they will instate the features.
BBM is now available for Android 2.3 Gingerbread users and they will be able to download the application from Play Store.

HTC One family is a series of three similar looking smartphones that come at different sizes, different specifications and definitely different price points. HTC One, the company's current flagship, was launched more than a year ago and is still the company's flagship. In the interim, HTC has managed to push two HTC One lookalike devices in the form of HTC One Mini and HTC One Max.

HTC has announced two separate events on March 25th, 2014 in the U.S. and UK. The invites doesn't reveal anything, but the company is likely to unveil the most expected HTC One successor. Most of the specifications of the smartphone had been leaked already. We had also seen some press shots and live images of the upcoming flagship HTC smartphone that reveals dual cameras on the back and on-screen buttons, replacing the hardware touch buttons.
In a new leak, Evleaks has posted a new press image of the phone inside a case. This render shows on-screen buttons and dual front speakers. It has also hinted that the phone would be called "The All New One" and come in Gray, Silver, and Gold colors.

Microsoft was involved in a Trademark fight over the name "SkyDrive" and it lost. So, they had to rebrand it and from now on, Microsoft's SkyDrive will be called as "Microsoft OneDrive". Microsoft's OneDrive is one among the many cloud storage options offered by big companies of the Internet - Google offers Google Drive, Dropbox, Box and many others.
One of the nicest things about Microsoft OneDrive is that it comes with 7GB of free storage for starters(Google Drive offers 5GB while Dropbox offers 2GB). Another thing that is cool about Microsoft OneDrive is that it offers a very good sync experience along with Microsoft Office, so it would be great for enterprise consumers.

Nokia has finally unveiled their plans for the MWC 2014 next week. It sent out Invites for the event last week. Now the company has posted a large image in green color that indicates the letter X. We already know that Nokia is planning to release the Nokia X phone at the MWC. It was previously called Project Normady. Evleaks already revealed a range of press shots. It recently posted an image of the phone in green color, that matches the teaser. It also revealed the complete specifications of the phone.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 3 in 3 new accents - Rose Gold White, Rose Gold Black and Merlot Red back in December. At the Samsung Asia Forum 2014 in Bali, we got to check out the Rose Gold Black Edition of the Note 3. LG has finally made the G2 Mini official ahead of Mobile World Congress 2014. It has a 4.7-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor (Snapdragon 400 or Nvidia Tegra 4i options reportedly), and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. You have rear mounted power and volume keys. Unlike the G2, the G2 Mini has matte back.
LG brings all the G2 features such as Guest Mode, Knock ON, Quick Memo and lots more features to the G2 Mini. The LG L90, the company's upcoming smartphone in the L Series III has similar specifications, but has a different design.

Micromax unveiled the Canvas Knight A350 at an event in Russia last month. The company has announced that the smartphone would hit the Indian market soon and has also released a teaser video. The Canvas Knight has a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 2 GHz octa-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Gionee has just announced the Elife S5.5, the company's thinnest smartphone at an event in China. It is said to be the world's thinnest phone that has 5.5mm thin magnesium alloy frame. It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED touch screen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display module is just 0.55mm thick and the back cover is 0.40mm thick, that is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, making the phone very slim. It It is powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor and runs on Android 4.2 with Amigo 2.0 UI on top.
