Sony has announced the ILCE-QX1, the company first Interchangeable lens style camera for smartphones that can be used with E-mount lens collection such as zoom, wide angle, tele or macro lens. It has APS-C size Exmor CMOS sensor that can capture 20.1-megapixel images. The BIONZ X processor has improved area-specific noise reduction.
It can also shoot RAW image files and includes pop-up flash to capture interiors and night scenes better. You can uncouple it from the phone and mount for flexible shooting. This comes only with the E-mount, so you have to get a lens separately. The LCS-QXA Case and Strap Kit sold separately has tough brown leather-look finish.

Along with their first E-mount camera, Sony has also announced the most expected DSC-QX30 camera lens for smartphones that has 30x optical zoom lens. It is supported by Optical SteadyShot image stabilization to eliminate blurring.

Acer unveiled the Liquid Z500 at the IFA 2014. It has a 5-inch HD display with 900:1 high contrast, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1080p video capture and a front-facing camera.

Micromax sends invite to launch a new smartphone on September 8
Micromax has sent out press invites to launch a new smartphone on September in New Delhi. The event was supposed to happen on September 1st, but it got postponed. The invitation doesn't reveal anything apart from the time, date and location, but the company today teased a new smartphone on their Facebook page back that reveal few details about the smartphone. It also says that it would launch exclusively on Snapdeal.

The teaser reveals the back of a smartphone with leather-like back cover, rear camera with LED flash. Another teaser of Snapdeal's Facebook page teases the phone with the same image and captions such as Divide No More, Now Everyone Can. So this could be a premium smartphone at affordable cost.

HTC Desire 820 with 5.5-inch HD display, Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC announced
HTC has unveiled the Desire 820, the company’s latest phablet at the IFA 2014 as expected. It has the 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, similar to the Desire 816, but this is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor ( four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz per core and four clocked at 1.0 GHz) and has Adreno 405 GPU. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with HTC Sense 6 UI on top, and it will be supported by the upcoming release of Android L.
It has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual-front-facing BoomSound speakers and comes in single SIM and dual SIM variants depending on the market. It also has Cat 4 LTE connectivity up to 150Mbps.

Sony Xperia Z3 lineup get a price tag in European markets
Sony launched the Xperia Z3 line up yesterday that includes the Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z3 Tablet. At the time of the announcement, the company did not reveal the prices of these devices. However, these three products are up for pre-order in Europe and were first spotted by Italian website Tuttoandroid.net.
The flagship Xperia Z3 smartphone is priced for €649 in Germany, €679 in France, and €699 in Italy and Spain while in the UK it is bearing a price tag of £549. Moving on the Xperia Z3 Compact costs €499 in Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, and £429 in the UK. Finally, the Xperia Z 3 Compact tablet is priced at €379 in Germany, France, and Spain (for the 16GB Wi-Fi model), and €399 in Italy also it is priced at £329 in the UK. The 16GB LTE model of the Xperia Z3 Compact tablet costs €479 in Germany and Spain, €499 in Italy, and £429 in the UK.

More images of second gen Moto G and its retail box leaked
Retail box of the upcoming Motorola Moto G successor surfaced earlier this week, now Brazilian website TecMundo has got hold of new images of new Moto G (XT1069) and the retail box. According to the retail box, the smartphone will be called Moto G (2nd generation). In Brazil it comes with digital TV support, similar to the first Moto G.
It shows the smartphone with a front-facing speaker like the Moto E.
The retail box confirms a 5-inch HD display, 8-megapixel rear camera, Snapdragon 400 processor and colorful external shells.

Nokia to launch free maps for Android and iOS by the end of 2014
Nokia is planning to further get deeper into the mapping business. The company already offers HERE Maps for Windows Phone 8 and 8.1. Now, the company is planning to launch a free maps app on Android and iOS by the end of 2014, as per a latest report from the The Wall Street Journal.
These apps can be accessed even without an internet connection meaning users can download the app and use it later when offline.The navigation feature will come through satellites so users don’t need internet to access the maps. Android has Google Maps and Apple has their own Apple Maps. Hence, it will be interesting to see weather these two giants will allow Nokia's Map app on their platform.
“I’m convinced people are looking for alternatives. Google Maps is a good solution for many, their maps work very well, but it has looked the same and done the same for a long time.”

Nokia Lumia 730 Dual SIM and Lumia 735 selfie-focused smartphones announced
Microsoft has finally announced the most expected Lumia 730 Dual SIM and the Lumia 735, selfie-focused smartphone at the IFA 2014. These have a 5-megapixel wide angle front-facing camera with a focal length of 24mm to capture better selfies and for video chats. These have a 4.7-inch HD ClearBlack OLED display with Super Sensitive Touch for glove and nail usage, powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and run on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim update with Live Folders, Apps Corner, an updated Glance screen and more.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Active rugged tablet announced
Samsung just announced the Galaxy Tab Active, the company's first rugged Galaxy Tablet with anti-shock covering that can withstand a 1.2-meter drop, with the protective cover on. It is also water and dust resistant with IP67 certification. It has 8.0-inch WXGA displays, powered by 1.2 quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It comes in WiFi and 3G / LTE variants. It has physical keys below the display.
Most of the specifications are similar to the Galaxy Tab4 8.0 that was unveiled back in April, but unlike the Tab4 8.0, this has a removable back cover with 4,450mAh user replaceable battery and built-in POGO pin charging. It also comes with a C-Pen stylus at the top of the protective Galaxy Tab Active cover for an alternative input. The tablet is inspired by professionals and designed specifically to boost business productivity, says Samsung.

Sony rolls out Bluetooth wireless headphones and wearable MP3 player
Sony has launched three wireless bluetooth headphones that specializes in a different features. The first Bluetooth headphone from the company is MDR-XB950BT Extra Bass Bluetooth Headset. As the name implies it puts more emphasis on the bass to deliver what Sony says is "a powerful audio experience."
Second Bluetooth wireless headphone from Sony is MDR-ZX550BN which offers noise cancellation. The company claims that the it obliterates up to 90% of ambient sound and offers 25 hours of continuous playback. Lastly, Sony also launched the small and light MDR-AS800BT which is suitable for outdoor sport activities and gym. All the aforementioned Bluetooth models come with NFC and offer One-touch connection with your smartphone. Sony did not announce the pricing of these headphone that will be available in Europe from October 2014.
In addition to the Bluetooth wireless headphones, Sony has also launched the Walkman NWZ-WS613 MP3 Player with Bluetooth. The waterproof headset allows users to streams music and Internet radio, and even connects to fitness apps. A ring-type remote commander controls music playback and lets you accept calls while you are on the move.
Available in black, blue and lime Green, the Walkman wearable MP3 player will also be available for $159 by early October in Europe.

Nokia Smart Wireless Charging Plate DT-903 with Bluetooth LE announced
Microsoft has announced Nokia Wireless Charging Plate DT-903, the latest wireless charging accessory. It uses Qi wireless charging standard to charge Nokia smartphones with wireless charging support, similar to the DT-900 charging plate, but this also includes Bluetooth 4.0 LE and NFC pairing support so that the LED light glows when it senses that phone needs charging.
The light also blinks when you receive a missed call, SMS or email on your Lumia when connected. Since it uses Bluetooth Low Energy to connect to Lumia, it doesn't drain up the battery. The Wireless Charging Plate DT-903 comes in white, bright orange and bright green colors and are priced at 59 Euros.
Nokia also announced Wireless Charging Shell for Lumia 735 (CC-3086) that comes in dark grey, bright green and bright orange colors. It costs 14.90 Euros.
The Wireless Charging Flip Shell for Lumia 830 (CP-627) has soft microfiber lining on the inside of the cover cleans and protects your screen. It comes in dark grey, bright orange, or bright green colors. It is priced at 24.90 Euros and would be available next month.

OnePlus One ready for India launch before December 2014
OnePlus One, one of the most anticipated Chinese smartphone might hit Indian markets before December this year. The 5.5 inch Full HD display phone that was announced in April this year wants to sell its 64GB variant under Rs. 25,000 in India.
Speaking to FoneArena, about setting up a team in India, Carl Pei, director, OnePlus global said,
"India is the first market where we plan to have a local team. It’s such a vast market and you can use the smartphone adoption growing super quickly and leading a lot of change".
He said that India ranks eighth in terms of OnePlus website traffic and there are thousands of users who have bought the phone from US and eagerly waiting for Indian launch. The company is planning to launch in India but similar to other markets the stocks will continue to be limited due to the possibility of a large number of inventory reserve. OnePlus is targeting six figure sales in India in its first year.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Hands On and Photo Gallery

Samsung has gone for a textured back panel instead of the faux leather seen on Note 3. The new panel gives the phone a premium look. It measures 153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5mm and weighs about 176 grams. Note 4 has a 16 megapixel Sony IMX240 camera sensor with optical image stabilization and dual-LED flash. It also has a new option called Side Touch along with a gesture based method to active the snapper with the screen off. While the front camera also got a bump to 3.7 megapixel sensor, which is capable of shooting images and videos in WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels).
