Xiaomi is working on a new smartphone that has made an appearance on a benchmarking site. Codenamed as "Ferrari" the smartphone is expected to launch in coming months.
The Xiaomi Ferrari has been spotted on GFX benchmark that gives out the specs of the phone. As per the listing, the smartphone sport a 4.9 inch display that has a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Powered by octa core 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and an Adreno 450 GPU, the device will come with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. It will have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter. The benchmark listing does not show connectivity options and micro SD expansion slots.
There is no word about when the device will be launched and what will it cost.

Apple has acquired database company FoundationDB, according to a report from TechCrunch. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by either of the company.
FoundationDB is a company that makes noSQL database for web applications. Founded four years ago, the company has a team of 40 employees. FoundationDB will no longer offer downloads of its main database software product. The report said that Apple aims to improve its cloud services, App Store, iTunes Connect or iTunes with this acquisition. Apple neither confirmed nor denied the buy to TechCrunch, sending it this statement, "Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans."
An image of the HTC One M9+ codenamed HTC Hima Ultra leaked earlier this year along with the One M9 earlier this year, now @OnLeaks has leaked an unofficial render of the smartphone, images and hands-on video of a dummy unit. According to the leak the smartphone will have a 5.2-inch display, slightly larger than the One M9 and the dimensions will be 150.9x72.5x10.15mm, making it slightly thicker than the One M9.
Since the smartphone would come with a larger display, it is taller and wider than the One M9. It is rumored to come with a Quad HD screen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or MediaTek MT6795 Octa-Core SoC depending on the markets, 3GB RAM, 20.7-megapixel rear camera with an additional 2.1-megapixel depth-sensing camera, 13-megapixel or ultra-pixel front-facing camera and a 2840mAh battery.

Google is working on a tool that will allow Gmail users to manage, pay, and receive all their bills directly within Gmail according to a report from Re/Code. Dubbed as "Pony Express" the service is expected to roll out in the fourth quarter of 2015.
Pony Express will include the ability to share bills with other Gmail users, bring up customer service information for a provider, and support for taking a photo of a paper document and archiving it in Pony Express. The service will ask Gmail users to provide personal information such as name, address and partial and full social security number to a third-party company which will then verify the user's identity. After authentication, users will start receiving bills in a particular folder of Gmail or the Inbox by Gmail, from where they can pay them directly
Users might also have to provide information such as account/ credit/ debit card number or something similar to get started, notes the report. They will be able to link a bank account or a debit card to their Google account to do so.
HTC just scheduled an event to unveil the next One series smartphone in Beijing, China on April 8th. The invite says More than One along with an image of the back of the smartphone with two cameras that hints at the rumored HTC One M9+. Design of the smartphone is similar to the One M9 with brushed metal unibody build.

The One M9+ is also rumored to come with a fingerprint sensor on the new home button. We will have to wait for just two more weeks to find out to know more about the upcoming HTC One series smartphone.
HP has partnered with Bang & Olufsen audio technology to its PCs, tablets and accessories. The partnership will extend to in the PCs in Spectre, Omen and Envy product line.

Xiaomi is entering into its 5th year next month, to celebrate it the company plans to launch new products on March 31 in China, says the company's CEO Lei Jun. He will also be having a conversation with the Chinese media.
Last year on its 4th birthday on April 8th, the company sold 1.3 million smartphones, earning 1.5 Billion Chinese Yuan in revenues. We can expect flash sales for its smartphones even this year.
Rumors point to the next-generation Redmi Note smartphone, successor of last year's Redmi Note that was introduced back in March last year. A new Xiaomi smartphone codenamed Ferrari with a 1080p display and Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core SoC is also expected to be unveiled at the event. Xiaomi might also introduce some accessories such as power banks.
We just have to wait less than a week for next Tuesday to find out the list of new Xiaomi products. It might even release some teasers later this week.

Lenovo just sent out invites for the a launch event on April 7th in India. The invite just shows Dolby Atoms Theater with text Save the Date, 7 April 2015. It is expected to launch the A7000 smartphone at the event, since it is the only smartphone to feature Dolby Atmos audio.

LG unveiled the Watch Urbane LTE at the MWC earlier this month, today LG has launched the smartwatch in Korea. The LTE version of the Urbane smartphone has a new design, runs on LG’s own wearable platform, comes with voLTE voice calling support and also comes with NFC support for easy payments. The LG Watch Urbane LTE is priced at 650,000 won (US$ 590 / Rs. 36,845 approx.) and will go on sale in Korea though local carrier LG U + starting March 27th. There will also be separate plans for LG U + customers. LG says that the LTE smartwatch will be available only in Korea for now, and there is no word on the global roll out.

Google Keep app has received a significant update that brings up much needed functionality. The app is finally adding the ability to label and add recurring reminders to your Keep notes.
The addition of labels will let users organize the Keep app by project, daily to-dos, work, personal, etc. At the time of editing a note, tap the overflow menu and choose Add label. You can select from the included Inspiration, Personal and Work, or you can create your own labels and add multiple labels to notes.
Along with labels Keep is getting recurring reminders that can been seen at the bottom of the note entry area. You can choose from daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or a custom setting. On the Web this feature is accessed through the reminder icon. Last year, Google Keep received Material Design update and support for Android Wear.
Google has released Cloud Console" app for Google Cloud Platform. Available in beta, the app will let users manage cloud services from Android devices like smartphones and tablets.

ZTE today announced two new smartphones nubia Z9 Max and nubia Z9 mini in the nubia series. The nubia Z9 Max is the company’s first smartphone with a Snapdragon 810 SoC. It seems that a new Surface tablet from Microsoft is in the making. As per a report from WinBeta, the software company is working on a low end model of the Surface 2 successor.
The report said that the new Surface will be unveiled before or at Microsoft's Build conference next month. A full version of Windows 8.1 is said to be onboard on the tablet which will be upgradeable to Windows 10 when the new software arrives later this year. The Surface 3 will be fanless mostly due to the inclusion on an Intel Atom or Core M processor. As per the report the upcoming Surface tablet will be "marketed as a non-pro" device.
It is stated that the new Surface will be a full-sized tablet and not a "Surface Mini" device. No other details and specs of the tablet are known at this time.
Last week it was reported that OnePlus will launch a new gaming related device in April. Now a latest report is stating that OnePlus is not working on a gaming controller but a drone.
David Sanmartin, OnePlus’ Digital Marketing Manager, responded to a question during an AMA (ask me anything)regarding giving a clue for as to what the product will be. He replied: “I’ll give you a hint, the model name is DR-1 ;)”. Moments later, the company’s Global Director Carl Pei posted : “It’s a dr-o-n-e. Get it? ;)”. He also mentioned that DR-1 will go on sale in April but we will have to wait for bit more time to learn about the pricing.

It's still very early days for the "Internet of things" movement which seems to have caught everyone's fancy. Intel, like every other company today, wants in on it, so they had a whole section dedicated to connected devices at their MWC booth this year. We checked some devices out, to give you an idea of what Intel powered connected devices are like.
Wearables are, undoubtedly, at the forefront of "Internet of things". Intel had two interesting devices to show, the first one being the Basis Peak Smartwatch/Smart fitness band. Basis is a company that Intel recently acquired and is well known for its fitness products.
The Peak smartwatch is made for fitness freaks who obsess over every minute amount of fitness data that they can gather, like the usual steps taken, heart rate, sleep patterns and so on. Intel says that the Basis Peak is one of the best in tracking sleep, accurately. The watch, which is comfortable to wear, can also interface with your phone for notifications and minimal levels of control over Bluetooth. Like most fitness trackers, it has its own app that mines all this data.

It looks like Apple will launch not one, not two but three iPhones this year. A new report from DigiTimes is stating that Apple will launch three iPhones in the second half of this year - the iPhone 6S, the iPhone 6S Plus, and a 4 inch iPhone 6C.
The report cites industry insiders as the source to inform that Apple is likely to partner Wistron to assemble the iPhone 6C while the 6S phones will be made by Foxconn and Pegatron. In addition, the report says that all of the devices will come equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass. The two 6S version should be powered by the all new A9 chip, while the rumor states that the 6C will have the A8, found in current models. All of the devices will come equipped with NFC and fingerprint scanning technologies.
Apple partner suppliers Japan Display and LG will provide stock for iPhone 6, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone 6C, while Sharp is said to help out with iPhone 6S Plus. The company may also use new camera technology embedding an advanced three-sensor based camera module within the iPhone as Apple was recently granted a patent for a "Digital camera with light splitter."
Amazon Cloud Drive has launched two new unlimited Cloud Drive plans and has removed the current 5GB free plan. These new plans include Unlimited Photos plan for $11.99 per year, plus 5 GB for videos and files, and Unlimited Everything plan for $59.99 per year that offers unlimited storage for photos, video, files, and documents.
The current 5GB plan is no longer available and will be replaced with a free 3-month trial of one of the Unlimited plans. Access to your existing files has not changed and you can continue to download and view your content, but to upload new files you will need to pick one of the free 3-month trials, said the company. Existing Cloud Drive customers can change their plans now by simply logging into their Cloud Drive accounts.
