Apple’s new MacBook USB-C multi adapter includes HDMI and USB 3.1 connectors

Apple announced the new MacBook yesterday with high resolution “Retina” display and a new, thinner profile. Another new addition to the MacBook is the a USB Type-C port. The left side of the new MacBook has a reversible USB Type-C port, or USB-C. The USB-C is a universal serial bus standard representing the "culmination of an extensive, cooperative effort among industry leaders," according to Brad Saunders of the USB 3.0 Promoter Group. USB Type-C cables will be able transfer data at a top speed of 10 gigabits per second, according to the USB Implementers Forum, though Apple said the USB Type-C ports on the new MacBook will top out at 5Gb. The USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adaptor will allow users a dock-like experience with included HDMI, USB 3.1, and USB-C inputs located on the device. It is priced at $79 while the USB-C to USB adapter will cost $19.

It has also updated 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air with fifth generation Intel Core processors, Intel HD Graphics 6000, and Thunderbolt 2. The 13-inch MacBook Air also gets two times faster flash. The new trackpad in the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro features built-in force sensors that allow you to click anywhere and haptic feedback that provides a responsive and uniform feel. It also enables a new gesture called Force Click, a click followed by a deeper press, for tasks like pulling up the definition of a word, quickly seeing a map or glancing at a preview of a file. LG looking forward to sell 10 million G4 smartphones in 2015

LG is aiming for 10 million units of G4 in this year, according to a company official. The G 4 phone which is expected to be launch in April or May. "LG Electronics aims to achieve the 10 million sales target of the G4 smartphone, which will be unveiled next month. Specifications of the G4 and changes we've made had been briefed to top outlet channels and European carriers during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) fair. Initial response was good enough," an LG official told Korea Times. For comparison, the LG G3 has so far sold around between 6 and 7 million smartphones since its debut in May 2014, according to LG’s mobile chief Cho Juno. LG official said in recently held MWC 2015 that in order to achieve the target, the South Korean company will put in extra promotional effort in key locations in Europe, the US, and Korea. The LG G4, rumored to come with a fingerprint sensor and a 3K display.

You can customize your Moto 360 with the new Moto Maker

As announced at the end of last month, Motorola has launched the Moto Maker for Moto 360 smartwatch. Moto Maker is a custom hardware design platform that lets people design look of their own smartwatch. The Moto Maker options for the case include dark metal, light metal, or "champagne gold for an extra $30." Moving on there are nine options for the leather band which include leather, metal, and a custom link design for $50. Moto Maker also allows you to select the watch face from a choice of 11. There are a total of 27 hardware design. Motorola has also provided some ideas for designing your own Moto 360 watch using the Moto Maker on its website. Motorola was launched in the U.S in the September last year and in India in October.

Google rolls out Calendar app for iPhone

Google has announced the launch of Calendar app for iPhone. The Google Calendar app comes with new features, like Events from Gmail, which automatically transforms events from emails into Calendar events. The Android app received a major revamp in November last year and the same redesign continues to follow for the Google Calendar app on iPhone. Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge get a price tag for 12 countries

Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge earlier this month at MWC 2015. Both the devices that will be available starting next month have received a price tag for 12 countries. In Austria both the phones will be available for 699 euros as the starting price of 32GB Galaxy S6 and 849 euros for the 32GB Galaxy S6 edge.The Galaxy S6 will sell for 5,499 DKK and Galaxy S6 edge for 6,499 DKK in Denmark. Although there is not word on the exact pricing, the range will start from 699 euros with the Galaxy S6 (32GB) and goes up to 1,049 euros for the 128GB Galaxy S6 edge in Estonia. The pricing is same for Latvia and Lithuania. In case of Finland the Galaxy S6 (32GB) for 699 euros, (64GB) for 829 euros and (128GB) 949 euros. While the Galaxy S6 edge 849 euros (32GB), 999 euros (64GB) and 1,049 euros (128GB). There is no word on the pricing for Kazakhstan, but pre-orders will begin from March 22 and will go on sale on April 17. Galaxy S6 will go for 6590 NOK and Galaxy S6 edge for 7,990 NOK in Norway. HTC One E9 gets certified in China, images surface

HTC smartphone codenamed A55 that surfaced last month has now been certified in China on TENAA as HTC One E9pw. This shows the smartphone in White Gold color with usual dual front-facing speakers. It also confirms the 5.5-inch display and its dimensions, but the display resolution is not confirmed yet. Earlier rumors revealed that it will have a Quad HD screen and will powered by a MediaTek MT6795 64-bit Octa-Core SoC.  It has a huge camera sensor on the back, which is rumored to be the same 20-megapixel sensor present on the HTC One M9. It might have a polycarbonate body, similar to the One E8 that was launched last year. Android 5.1 Lollipop SDK released

Google rolled out Android 5.1 Lollipop update to Android devices. Now the company has released Google has released the Android 5.1 SDK to developers. Android 5.1 introduces a small set of new APIs for developers,. Android 5.1 brings the platform up to API level 22. This includes new APIs for devices with more than one SIM. In addition, there is a newly added support for "Carrier Services," which allows cellular providers to build apps that modify provisioning tasks, like setting the correct IP addresses for data connections. The SDK now includes Android 5.1 emulator system images that you can use to test your apps and develop using the latest capabilities and APIs. You can update your SDK through the Android SDK Manager in Android Studio. Google also said that it will start rolling out updates for Android 5.1 to the following Nexus devices: Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 [2012], Nexus 7 [2012] (3G), Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 7 [2013] (3G/LTE), Nexus 9, Nexus 9 (LTE), Nexus 10, and Nexus Player over the next few weeks.

LG G4 possible renders surface

Both Samsung and HTC have unveiled their flagship smartphones for this year. Now it's time for LG. Alleged press shots of the LG G4 smartphone have been leaked by french website nowhereelse.fr, but it says that these are not finalized versions. According to these images, the G4 smartphone will have a slightly curved body inspired from the LG G Flex. It has slightly protruding camera sensor on the back along with dual LED flash and laser auto focus. As usual there are power button and volume rockers below the camera module. It is also rumored to come with a fingerprint sensor, which could be located under the power button. The loudspeaker grill is present on the bottom part of the back. It is expected have a removable back cover, similar to the LG G3. According to rumors the dimensions of the smartphone will be 148.9 x 76.5x 9.9mm, making it slightly thicker than the G3. It is expected to come with 5.3 to 5.7 inches screen with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels or 2880x1620 pixels, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor S810, 3GB of RAM and 16-megapixel or a 20.7-megapixel rear camera. Google likely to include ‘Multi-Window’ support in future Android updates

It seems like Google might add a Multi-Window' support in future Android updates. The possibility of the new feature has been spotted on Google's AOSP framework commit. AOSP framework code commit shows Google using multi-window support. Multi-windows support allows users to perform more than one task such as watching a video while taking notes or performing searches on the web. Samsung Galaxy series offers multi-window feature that  lets users access two or more apps at the same time on a smartphone or a tablet. A multi window support could be a good addition to Android but there is no other information about the feature and if or when Google is planning to introduce it. At present all we have is a glimpse of the code about the multi-window.

Android Wear could get gesture control and WiFi support in new update

Android Wear is expected to get a couple of important features in next update, as per a report from The Verge. The new update will bring gesture control and WiFi support to Android Wear. WiFi support will allow your Android Wear device to connect directly to a WiFi network and no longer be solely dependent on a tethered phone. Users can perform most functions like Google searches and deliver notifications It must be noted that Most of the Android Wear smartwatches currently available in the market already have Wi-Fi built in so the update should be easy to roll. The report  also says that the update will bring gesture support, which will allow scrolling of notifications, Google Now Cards, and other screens to be done without making contact with the devices screen by just a flick of the wrist. Finally, the update will get some UI tweaks are coming, focusing on easier access to your apps and contacts.

World’s first Google store launches in London

Apple already have several around the world, Samsung are getting in on the act and Microsoft have their stores in the US as well so it's only fitting that the world's number one search company, Google, has joined in the act with the opening of its first global retail store in London. The store - based inside the Currys PC World store on Tottenham Court Road in London - will sell Android devices as well as other Google products including Chromebooks and Chromecasts. Like Apple's own retail offer, The Google Shop will also offer tutorials on Google products - presumably including a push to get visitors to use Google+ - and also offer demonstrations of Google Apps for Business to business customers. Wearables was a key subject at MWC 2015 this year with new devices from the likes of HTC, Acer and Samsung alongside several new wearables from Huawei, including the long-awaited Android Wear smartwatch. From our time in China with Huawei, we already knew that an Android Wear smartwatch was in the works but when it was finally revealed, we realised that this wasn't your average Android Wear smartwatch. Since the launch of the Huawei Watch, we've seen Apple reveal the pricing and styles of the Apple Watch - including the ridiculously expensive 18k gold version - and now we're hearing about the Huawei Watch's price. UK retailer Mobile Fun has opened pre-orders for the Huawei watch, with the silver and black versions costing £300 and the more-premium gold version costing £350. The pricing is slightly more than German retailer, Billinger, who has listed the Huawei Watch at €349 (Rs.23000), with the gold version costing €50 more at €399 (Rs.26400).
