Google is finally rolling out the much-needed update to its File Go app. The update brings the ability to search for files on your phone just like you search the internet. The search will have Google's expertise in the search including instant results, search history, autocomplete and filters. Now, when you open the Files tab, you can tap the search icon and find all of your files on your phone and it works offline too. Though the Files Go app deletes duplicate files, it doesn't show you the location. But with the latest update, you will be able to see the location before you delete. All you got to do is just long press on the thumbnail, tap the “i” icon and see the location of the file. Another biggest addition is now Files Go works seamlessly with Google Photos. Once your photos and videos are safely backed up in Google Photos, Files Go app can detect that and prompt you to delete those files so you free up more space. The update is already rolling out and you can download the app directly from the Play Store. Source

According to latest report from Digitimes, Apple is expected to start trial production of 2018 iPhones in Q2 to avoid delay which was caused by the initial low yield rates in the production of 3D sensor modules for the iPhone X last year. The kick-start will help with delivery schedules for 2018 iPhone devices so that they will rekindle its smartphone momentum. The push ahead the delivery schedules for the 2018 iPhones will help Apple have more stock during the time of pre-orders. The source further claim that the sales of the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and X have been lower than expected. So, the early push in the production will help Apple get back in the game.  Apple's supply chain partners said to be "generally more optimistic" about order prospects this year. If Apple could start delivering new iPhone series early in the third quarter, the component makers will see their revenues start moving upward in the second quarter of 2018. Apple is expected to launch two OLED-based iPhones (5.85-inch and 6.45-inch) and a 6.1-inch low-cost LCD model with Face ID, and no wireless charging. It is already known that Apple has scheduled a ‘creative education’ event on March 27th, and today we are learning that the company is planning to launch a new low-cost iPads and education software, according a new report from Bloomberg. The event scheduled for early next week marks the first time Apple is holding a product launch aimed at education since 2012. The company will show off its new version of its cheapest iPad that should appeal to the education market. Furthermore, the company will also introduce a new software for the classroom. It looks like Apple is going back to the roots as the company's Steve Jobs made schools a priority for Apple during its early days. With Apple focusing on mass-market and higher-margin products in recent years, Google and Microsoft have been gaining success in the classrooms. Though the educational technology market generated $17.7 billion in revenue in 2017, Apple accounted just for 17% of shipments from kindergarten through high school. Google's Chromebooks accounted for 60% and Windows PCs were at 22%. Though there were reports about a low-cost MacBook Air, we're pretty sure that it might not be seeing a light in the day at the education even on 27th. Though Apple is currently ...

The new pinned floating features lets users pin summaries for sport and follow scores while using other apps like Maps or YouTube.  The 'Pinned matches' will look like a bubble that notes team scores and time remaining/overlapped. However, users will need first to permit the Google app to draw over other apps. Custom Routines started rolling out earlier this month; the new Google app adds strings that gives the ability to create custom Routine from scratch with an updated description of Routines. Google's Android OS is an open source and gives developers a lot of freedom to customize the software as they please. Google apps and services mandate that device makers follow a specific set of rules under the Compatibility Definition Document (CDD). Device maker needs to follow the Compatibility Test Suite (CTS) for them to pre-load their devices with Google apps and services. Previously it was possible for uncertified devices to pre-load the Google apps. However, it now appears that Google is blocking GApps on uncertified devices, but still lets custom ROM users whitelist. According to an industry source who claims to be worked for an OEM/ODM, Google has started entirely locking out newly built firmware from accessing Gapps. This change apparently has gone into effect from March 16th and will affect any software builds made after this date. Digging a little deeper revealed that people have started facing the issue for at least a year, but could easily solve it by clearing Google Play Service’s data. However, with the new change, this clearing Google Play Service’s data workaround will no longer work. Google’s A/B restriction will now be enforced more widely. Google will disallow from signing in to their Google account on any device that is uncertified. However, you have a few options here, depending on if you ...
