Apple iPhone 5s Review

$

Apple calls the iPhone 5s, the most forward thinking iPhone yet. A departure from when Apple didn't care to enter the spec wars, it claims to be the best smartphone in the world. Historically speaking, the "S" editions of Apple's smartphones have changed little on the outside and have opted for substantial changes under the hood. This remains the case here as well. The iPhone 5s brings 64bit support, Touch ID fingerprint sensor and a completely overhauled operating system as well. Does all of this align to make investing in the iPhone worth it? We find out in our review. Hardware There's little that has changed here over the previous iteration. You still have a 4inch display which feels diminutive amidst the 5inch plus behemoths that are its competition. There's a simplicity to the design of the iPhone that has permeated through the generations and the 5s puts further emphasis on this. A polished metal rim surrounds the glass construction. The chamfered edges further accentuate the design. The phone's measurements remain the same and it still weighs a feather light 112grams. The screen is a retina panel with a resolution of 1136  x 640 that while not as high resolution as the Full ...

Nokia Lumia 1520 Official Flip Case Photo Gallery

Nokia Lumia 1520 is Nokia's best Windows Phone yet. We recently reviewed the device and you can check out the review here. Along with the phone, Nokia also announced and launched an official flip case for the giant device. Keeping up with the trend of things, Nokia's Flip case also doubles as a stand for the phone. We have the case with us and we are bringing you the photo gallery of this case. Being an official case, the device fits perfectly into the case and has no problems whatsoever. The case is priced at Rs. 2,999 and hardly looks that premium. The back has a plastic mold for fitting the device while the front is a rubbery material with vertically foldable bends in the middle. The bendable front is meant for the case to be used as a stand when using the device in landscape orientation. Because the Nokia Lumia 1520 is quite heavy, the case is hardly able to support the device. Most of the times you will see the phone hitting the floor or desk when you use the flip case as a stand. Unlike Apple's Smart Cover for iPad or the Samsung S-View cover for Galaxy series, this flip ...

New Samsung TouchWiz UI for phones featuring new flat icons and Magazine UX elements leaked earlier this month. Now @evleaks has posted a new screenshot of the upcoming TouchWiz UI on phones that reveals Google Now-like notification screen. This looks similar to Windows Phone Live Tile UI that would delivers notifications, but also offers contextual information like Google Now. More from that Samsung home screen. pic.twitter.com/5Z0jKKxXYN — @evleaks (@evleaks) January 19, 2014 These screenshots are stitched together from multiple ones to show the features, hence it is not even. Since Google Now is available for Android devices running on Android 4.1 and later, Samsung might have used their own code to gather data regarding user’s location, recent purchases, flight information, workout activity, local weather and more. The new TouchWiz UI is more promising than other TouchWiz interface we have seen on Samsung smartphones so far. The new UI might debut on recently launched Samsung PRO tablets or the Samsung Galaxy S5 that rumored to launch close to MWC 2014 next month.

Samsung entered the mid-range phablet category with the Samsung Galaxy Grand at the end of 2012 and it has been a huge success for them. The core design language of Samsung Galaxy devices continues to be same with an all plastic build and a false chrome metal rim around the device. We just unboxed the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 and showed you a photo tour of the same, but the single immediate question that arises in everyone's minds when looking at a successor of a hit device is, how better is it than the original? The Grand 2 gets an updated spec sheet, with obvious improvements in the display and the processor department, but there is always more to it than the spec sheet, right? So, how much of an upgrade is the Grand 2 over the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos? We find out in a hands on comparison video, exploring all the possible differences - httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxGamlYm2ak Here is the Galaxy Grand Duos on the left and the Galaxy Grand 2 on the right. Both are very much part of the Galaxy range in terms of design, as the hardware home button, the placement of the buttons and the false chrome sides are clearly the design philosophy Samsung goes with. But when it comes to build quality, the Grand 2 packs the faux leather matte back cover for a premium look and feel. The faux leather back is not of the same calibre as the Note ...

Samsung has just launched the successor of the popular Samsung Galaxy Grand in India as the Galaxy Grand 2. The Galaxy Grand 2 takes after the original Galaxy Grand to compete in the mid-range market. Following Samsung's trend of having the same design language for most of its product lineup, the Galaxy Grand 2 borrows a lot of design elements from the company's current flagship - Galaxy Note 3. We recently unboxed the Galaxy Grand 2, brought you the photo gallery of this new device and today we will be bringing you the photo gallery of how the Galaxy Grand 2 competes against the Galaxy Note 3 in terms of design.
